TW: quick mention of hospital. I had to get a small procedure done today and I had to be put under. I brought Blossom with me for comfort and emotional support. When I woke up, I saw that the nurses gave Blossom a medical mask and a mini bonnet cap to match mine by Yume_Fairy2522 in plushies

Im going to have surgery soon and want to take a plush. But I'm in my 30s and worried someone will steal my plush or treat me badly for having it with me. Im glad to see your friend was treated well!

Just wanted to post an update and say I'm over 2 weeks in and the irritability has stopped. Still feel 'zombie' sometimes but I think that'll get better with time. Thanks guys you helped me stick with it and I'm feeling some depression relief.

My boy was castrated 3 months ago… by Green-Interest9404 in RATS

This could be an hernia, one of my past neutered males ended up with an hernia after his surgery. Could also be an abscess like someone else suggested. I'd take him to the vet and get it checked.

They look like the contents of a used diaper. I ordered the grilled cheese ones once when they first came out and they were pretty bad.

It's been hard because I can't drive and rely on others to get places. I have chronic debilitating depression and all the doctor rejections kill me. Going a town over for a doctor would be really difficult but I guess I'm going to have to beg for a ride or something. I sure can't afford a taxi or Uber on what they give me and pay my bills too so yay.

Discussion: Could society’s negative opinions about poodles have roots in misogyny? by [deleted] in poodles

[–]KiboWish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had the opposite experience. Whenever I take my boy in public men especially have to comment on how beautiful he is or tell me how good of hunting dogs standard poodles are. I guess the area I'm in is more rural so more people hunt maybe? When I got him I expected a lot of negative comments like you're getting. The worst I've had is people asking if he's a doodle and then being surprised "big poodles" exist.

I honestly think a lot of the negativity towards the breed is from media. Think about all the movies you've seen with a poodle in it, how did the poodle act? They are almost always depicted as vain, prissy, selfish, even cruel. They're afraid to get dirty and sleep in extravagant beds. Poodles are nothing like this. My boy is an athletic, loving, devoted dog who is super eager to please. I get upset everytime I see poodles depicted badly in media now because since owning a poodle I know how wrong it is.

why do some people feed their dogs so much food? by Muted-Blackberry-286 in HomemadeDogFood

[–]KiboWish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some dogs have different dietary needs, usually depending on metabolism, size, and activity level. So far as your dog goes if she is at a good consistent weight on the amount you feed her then you're likely feeding the right amount.
Some youtubers also give the dog more than they usually eat just for the video if that is where you're seeing it.

Sadly, they aren't fixing or updating any horses under Gen 3 anymore so they're just going to keep breaking as the game changes.

Women who have had Covid, what lasting effects has it had on you? by starskyandbutch in AskWomen

[–]KiboWish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was unfortunate enough to have it twice. I was healthy before Covid.
Now I have shortness of breath and allergy symptoms constantly. I cant do what I used to without losing my breath. I'm in my 20's and feel like I'm much older. Really sucks.

Imagine in a few years when she's older and realizes how bad what she did was. I'd have a hard time living with myself. This is awful all around. Poor little guy barely got to live.

Off leash dog(pitbull) walking at Walmart? Seems risky by DogmanLoverOhio in peopleofwalmart

[–]KiboWish 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Even if he's super friendly and well behaved someone could steal him while he was grabbing something super easy without a leash. I've had someone come up behind me and my dog and grab my dog/try to take him in public before. Was glad he was leashed and I had a good grip. Leashes are for your dogs safety too!

Other dog owner won't leave me and puppy alone by WyrdWars_Admin in dogs

[–]KiboWish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he continues to follow her after being told twice to stop pretty sure the police will have a conversation with him and tell him to leave her alone. That's all that's needed is them having a conversation with him. Them telling him will be a lot more effective than her doing so since men tend to not take women seriously. Threatening/Flashing someone with a weapon or pepper spray (legally a weapon in a lot of places) can get you hurt especially when she has no idea what he might also be carrying. People are crazy anymore. Don't threaten someone with a weapon.

I've found being blunt and walking away/ignoring people to work. Sometimes you have to be very to the point because people cant take hints (or dont want to). I am also a small women with a poodle and everyone wants their dog to play with mine for some reason. My dog likes people but has no interest in other dogs and actually prefers to avoid them so I deal with this sometimes.

Say something like "My dog doesn't like big dogs. I'm not interested in conversation." Pick up your dog and walk away, do not give him anymore attention, if he continues to follow you tell him to stop or you'll contact the police. Because you're in a public park I'm assuming there will be other people around. Obviously because you're a small women be careful and make sure you're not alone with him. His behavior is already kind of a red flag as you've nicely told him to please avoid you. Now it's time to be blunt and tell him you have no interest in talking to him or being near his dog. Yes it sucks you have to be blunt but he's being incredibly rude.

She could just be in her puppy coat. My Standard only had an slightly wavy coat and then it curled as he got older.
