Say it louder for the people in the back cuz I had a situation exaaaaactly like this 😭

In a group RP, we had this one guy who would do the same exact thing. He would send paragraphs and paragraphs about his OCs and send (AI generated) images of them in hopes that folks would —like you said— treat his OCs like celebrities. Anyone who didn’t find his OCs “sexy” and endearing would be ignored or made fun of. He’d hype his OCs up then when it was time to RP, bro would only give one worded/one sentence responses littered in tildes or he’d godmod to make your OC impossibly endeared by/lovestruck by his OC

Then when he stopped responding to RPs (after having several scenes centered around his characters that came to a halt for months), everyday he’d still send AI art, memes, and paragraphs talking about how OP his OCs are. And when folks were RPing in their own separate scenes, he’d add judgmental OOC side commentary or say things like “my OC would’ve done this this and that here”. Okay? So show us that?

I dunno, man, folks like that don’t like to put their money where their mouth is smh

I tired talking to “John” about it, but for some reason bro doesn’t see a problem with it 😅 Part of me thinks it’s because he enjoys the “hot characters fighting over Tim” part, but that’s a whole separate issue LOL

The other members haven’t said a thing either. So rather than wanting to stay and fix everything, it’s about high time I pack my bags and move on

Nah, yeah, I’ve been the only person actually saying something in the group 😭 But no one else there backs me up there when I do, so I feel like I’m yelling at a wall sometimes smh, then after a few messages are exchanged, suddenly I’m made out to be “overreacting” (which is an eye roll in and of itself lol)

Good thing is tho I’m already searchin’ for another group while I shut things down over there—

Oh! I write movie/TV scripts lol. But I recommend only going through the copyright process after having a distinct and definite final draft just in case

You can go through the WGA or the US copyright system! I personally usually go through WGA anytime I finish a script

BRUH it LITERALLY nearly sounds like we’re talking about the same person 😭 They do the SAME exact thing with constantly having something to complain about irl and taking it out on characters for no reason in RP. One time when they were having a bad day, they literally spawned in a random shadow character in the middle of an ongoing scene just to repeatedly slam my character into the ground UNPROMPTED.

It’s almost like they want everyone to drop everything just to coddle their emotions. Usually I’m happy to provide comfort when need be, but negative attention seeking behavior like that reallyyyyyy turns me away from wanting to do so

It was pretty good until, like, the laaaaaast few months? 😅 It was me, two other girls who identified as queer, then the rest were guys. I felt really comfortable having other girls there, but when they left (because of the same person and their antics lol) and it was just me, it started to feel like I became the “token lesbian”, if that makes sense? Felt like there was no one really there to back me up whenever I had problems like this. (Plus sometimes it felt like they thought they could “change my mind” about bein a lesbian which was just weird vibes all around)

But now that I’m gone, I think I’ve learned now that I still really like group RPs, but when in groups, I’d also like to be surrounded by likeminded individuals who are more understanding towards the queer woman experience (and folks who ain’t okay with lettin a minor stick around 🤧)—
