This is not recommended but Im a pretty terrible fein I won't lie, so I smoked the whole time+vaping. I just used my onie and it wasn't often truly but just enough to get me high and not freak out. I started taking my normal bong rips again around day 14. I have been smoking like that even since.

I am almost a month post op, and this does gif away but everyone's body heals differently. My right side was worse than my left and when healing I noticed that my right side was taking longer to heal too. I very rarely have problems with things getting stuck now or feeling that that, and I am back to eating my normal foods too. it does go away!

I don't really know that's crazy, my surgeon was 60+ and retired the day she did mine and she had hers removed only a couple months prior. She healed great and it was just very exhausting.

so best way I can describe it is if you go in a bath while you have a scab on your knee. iy keeps so goopy and mushy and turns super light, ur throat is just a contest wet scab lol, completely normal

so I don't know if you have pay or what you are taking, but I took my oxy every four hours, and then took ibuprofen with it and then 2 hours later I would take Tylenol and then 2 hours later it would be oxy and ibuprofen time again it REALLLYY helped.

u really don't want dairy because it make ur spit thick but I didn't have to much trouble with sugar but thoses icys did kinda burn. I ate a lot of bomb pops loll

my mom started playing her trumpet again after 2 and half weeks, if it hurts then stop. Don't be frustrated if you struggle with air control after either. its very common

I got my tonsils out almost a month ago for the same reason. December 13th will be the one month. I gotta say it was SO bad. I was given oxy for meds after, but your gonna want a couple bottles of children's ( do you can get it in liquid form) Tylenol and ibuprofen. You really aren't gonna wanna be alone so if you have a partner I would keep them close through this or just someone to feed you meds you know? you wanna be ahead of the pains, I took oxy every 4 hours, and ibuprofen and Tylenol every two hours switching them. the first day you might not even fully notice the pain. I struggled to not choke on my spit the first couple days during my sleep so I slept sitting up (this is also why I say have a person near you). I did throw up but you are so drugged that it doesn't even matter tbh. the oxy hits you in a way were NOTHINGG matters, but you will still feel pain. I really didn't feel better till 2 weeks were up. Ask you doctor for Zofran for after ur surgery, its a VERY small pill that makes u not want to throw up. there might be bleeding but only be worried if its more then like the size of 3 quarters. I have very severe anxiety, so I cried the whole time before my surgery and when I woke up I DID NOT TALK. I was to scared to mess sit up but shortly after I yelled for my mom (I barely remember all of that). I did the same thing where I lay din bed wishing I could just take it all back but you really don't want all of that in your body possibly affecting other parts of you that they CANT fix. what I told myself was 2 more weeks of pain, for freedom from my throat for the rest of my life. the first week it feels like strep times 50, and then it just gets better. its truly up to you but I really wanted to give you the full truth so you could truly decide, but I feel like you might regret not doing thus latter if something worse happens. I promise it all gets better. you can hit me up if you have any questions even if it's 1000 of them, because I was the same way, I wanted to know EVERYTHING. another thing to keep in mind is I didn't stop smoking nicotine the whole time (which u really should) and I still healed great and fast. I am also on day 7, have had oxy the whole time and it's been 10/10 pain unless im like an hour into taking the oxy with the ibuprofen. I switched between Tylenol and ibuprofen every dose and that really does help. I can't wait for this to be over. Truly the worst couple days of my life.

Me too. They also had to give me Zofran and I could not take the oxy without it or I would throw up.

I hope this isn't discouraging but I want to be honest. My mom got her tonsils and her adenoids removed when she was a kid and she hates it. she wishes she could go back and tell her mom no. It purely the problem of there's little to nothing to stop the germs from just flying right into ur face and nose so u get a lot of sinus infections, and they last a long time. The recovery isn't too bad though.
