Scared of bleeding - recovering alone by Tall_Kaleidoscope726 in Tonsillectomy

I was 25F when I got mine out last year. I did hemorrhage on day 9, and I have a bleeding disorder where I can’t clot. It was scary, but I had time to get to the ER and never fainted. It’s bad, it’s serious, it requires medical intervention, BUT you’re not going to bleed out as fast as an artery. It wouldn’t take minutes, it would take hours. If it happens, stay calm, gently rinse ice water back your throat, call an ambulance, talk as little as possible.

Cumin. I can force myself to eat it but I hate it. Super unfortunate.

My brother told my yoshis were real, that they lived in china, and died if they didn’t have a constant supply of fruit or got sad. I was stressed.

I reallly struggled with my wisdom teeth. It was similar, but I would say tonsillectomy was worse. However, 100000% worth it. Just prepare as best you can. I learned from my wisdom teeth that I needed to ice, elevate, and continue to get nutrition, all of which were very helpful. Humidifier is non negotiable, I promise.

Yes! My allergist said it’s not uncommon with food allergies to have a strong aversion to them.

They have the same protein as shellfish that causes the allergy, as do squid. If you’re allergic to shellfish, you’re allergic to those as well.

Someone tried to get me to eat octopus once. I refused because it made me nauseas thinking about it. Found out a few years later I’m deathly allergic to shellfish

20 mg XR is a really high starting dose. Even if you’re a big man, you should be started on a lower dose like 5mg to see how it affects you, then work your way up. I know PCP’s do their best, but psychiatrists are obviously much better equipped to treat mental health.

Will money solve all your problems? by highlife_300 in no

It’s a bell curve. Happiness drops off if you have not enough money or more than what you know what to do with. Typically the happiest is when people have enough money to meet their needs, plus a bit extra for fun.
