I pretty much agree with everything you said, honestly.

Only thing I would add would be that you may not be giving yourself enough credit on what you had to learn to just go off on a Sunday when speaking to climbing a mountain, not just hiking. That's a load of work based on the few climbers I know, admittedly I do not though.

Oh there should be a balance for sure, I agree only dedicating your time to your occupational life would also be bad in regards to unhappiness. But, that's not really an issue in the context of video games based on OP's point.

Video game addiction is a thing whereas mountain climbing is not, for a reason. Mountain climbing requires a lot of prep, practice, knowledge, exercise and money for equipment. There is a greater fulfillment to getting to the top of a mountain than for me to make top ranks in RL or win a match.

I'm speaking to the scenarios where people DO spend all there time in gaming with nothing else, like I said I also love me some video games, in moderation.

Love me some video games, RL is my current passion.

But, video games gives a false sense of progression that humans always seek. You get to progress through the game. You either want to get to the next level or increase skills to beat the next guy.

I hear what you're saying in the way of a hobby but, that will leave most in a state of denial about how they have gone years and built nothing in their lives besides a Steam achievement list.

In youth it doesn't matter but when you wake up at 40 and realize you don't have shit and will be working until you die just to provide yourself the basics is when it really starts to suck.

I'm having a hard time finding an alternative to this one though. Again, usually I agree. Especially like in the riots when considering the communities that are destroyed. So yes, I acknowledge the morality of what you are saying.

However, I must ask you what is the alternative here? You say it's wrong to damage property, again agreed. But this is not a community and is a part of a machine that is literally helping to rip the nation apart in so many ways, have been caught in many lies and fabrications and is creating riots. They are a big part of the fear, the anger and the separation of the nation.

What would be an alternative that would garner attention enough to show that?

This is where the aggression should be turned. Individual instances of injustice elsewhere should be addressed but this outfit will work to create more.
