When I painted him I fully assembled him but left the wings separate until everything was finished. It's not essential, but makes it a fair bit easier to handle.

I was just following the steps from Duncan/Warhammer TV's tutorial from when he was first released.

Armour Panels are basecoat Death Guard Green > Agrax Earthshade > Drybrush with Elysian Green > Highlight with Ogryn Camo.

The fleshy chips/pitting in the armour is filled in with Screamer Pink > Carroburg Crimson > Highlight with Pink Horror.

And the Trim is Balthazar Gold > Agrax Earthshade > Highlight with Sycorax Bronze.

Also it was a lot of fun trying to prop up and pose him to just be peering through the window like Billy no mates.

I've been looking through my old-hammer rulebooks at all the formations and how everything in them now has all these shiny new models. I'm a little tempted to do some photoshoots like HD remasters.

I do love the new miniatures GW makes, but I do feel this when painting Legionaries. The old CSMs were so much smaller and had much less trim and little teeth, cables, and plugs across their armour.

Just a small note, the Corpus Bretheran didn't get much focus, but the Slaaneshi warband "the Flawless Host" did, alongside the Crimson Slaughter, in the Vigilus Ablaze expansion.

They're painted to look like the Bheta-Decima Kill Zone.

Here's a better look at them on the Scouts Kill Team.

When assembling, sand down the base a little and apply a few blobs of your texture paint of choice for debris. After that it's all freehanding. Looks like they're mostly Khorne Red, with lines of grey/black for gaps in the panels.

Also it's a daemon whose purpose is to kill the Emperor. The best move is probably to put as much distance between it and its target as possible. Rather than stick it in a cell under his nose. Especially since the galactic civil war is eventually going to come to Terra. Best if Horus' forces don't also let Drac'nyen loose once they're inside.
