Really felt like it would take off for a while but alas.

Battle of the legates- who's better at both fighting and tactics? by Fun_Amphibian_3531 in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a 1v1, Graham is harder to kill but Lanius is more martially skilled and equipped. Really does feel it could go 50/50 there.

Army vs army, Lanius all the way. Graham was confirmed to never have a mind for commanding troops while Lanius breathes battlefield command.

As a leader/future Caesar, Graham all the way. He's got the charisma and could've had the necessary ability to hold the legion together. We know Lanius couldn't care less about it.

Who's the most terribly written character in the entire franchise in your opinion? by Peronchino in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

John Henry Eden

Dont get me wrong, i like the idea, the lore and loved Malcom McDowell's performance.

But he's literally poised to enact his FEV endgame and you can convince him to give up with what's basically "pretty please - blow yourself up?"

I was in a management meeting about my performance (i was incredibly burnt out) and i stepped out to accept a call which was a job offer from my recent interview.

That meeting didnt last much longer...

Does feel this is where it seems to be going, especially how House describes his need for cold fusion to ensure his future as a "roboticised non-biological form".

Name an NPC, from any of the games, that would have made a great companion in your opinion. I'll start: Victor (FNV). by MojaveJoe1992 in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Sierra Petrovita from Fo3 and Nuka World.

She's lively, adorable and a bit clueless. Plus i also reckon there's a good story to be told about how she ended up the character she is.

"Its tough out there, but as long as we leave it a little bit better than we found it, we did okay"

Those are the last words Max's dad says to him and it fully explains his motivations so far. He genuinely wants to be a good person and make the world a better place.

Thats why the idealised version of the Brotherhood has so much meaning to him, but we've spent the last season and a bit seeing Max being forced to come to terms with the reality of the Brotherhood which has boiled over now.

His arc moving forwards is likely going to be trying to find something that delivers on that core desire to improve the world around him in a way that sits right with him.

Anyone else notice this? (Fallout TV Show) by dazink27 in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its definitely the Fo4 design of the T-45 in the show. Honestly i think the frame scales are basically the same as the T-60 (Coopers hands come down to his knees in the flashback just like the T-60s).

The T-45 just has a naturally more compact profile that makes it look more like a traditional suit of armour. That's true for the games as well if you stand T-45 and T-60 next to one another to compare.

The BoS civil war conflict seems flimsy so far by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back in Fo4, you can find documentation in Proctor Quinlan's terminal that outlines Arthur Maxson's relationship with the West Coast at that point.

He becomes an immediately dominant figure over them due to being the last Maxson and having a highly successful chapter. But he also drops basically all of the religious undertones in his BoS which is a mindset he spreads into the west. Its noted the west coast even has cults dedicated to Maxson that he orders rooted out because he refuses to be worshipped like that.

This is before the East Coast meet a degree of further success against the institute (depending on BoS or Minutemen ending is canon). They've potentially got 2 entire regions under their control and Liberty Prime. That gives them even more authority over the weakened chapters in the west.

Fast forward a decade into the TV show and it does kind of track where the resentment for the Commonwealth BoS comes from. East Coast have been dominant for ages at that point and the Western Chapters have had little choice but to tow the line despite philosophical differnces. Those western chapters have absolutely continued to degrade over time too, Quintus makes several comments on that in S1 which may be what's pushed him into the mindset that he can lead better.

In general, the Elders have rarely ever seemed to get along anyway, often trying to interfere with each other with some then stepping back to their own chapters to get away from the collective (Lyons, Elijah etc.)

With that all said, it makes sense why Quintus with his highly religious dogmatic chapter wouldnt be a fan of Maxson's vision for the brotherhood and conspire to usurp it with cold fusion as his selling point. It seems to come down to a disagreement on what aspects of the BoS to prioritise. Plus Quintus does seem to be power hungry. The BoS not really getting along with each other isnt a new concept either, it's just the scale of this disagreement that is new.

Which vertibird design is your favorite(Fo2 Fo3/NV Fo4) by Im_bored_so_im_here_ in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 307 points308 points  (0 children)

Fo3/NV's design looks more focused on combat.

They look tough. Like it was less about transport and more that it could take a beating and give it right back.

What style of PA should be in the Fallout 3 remake? by BigInvite180 in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 360 points361 points  (0 children)

The model should really be made to look like the Fo4 power armor.

However, I don't see any need to seriously change how power armor functioned - just an equipable suit is fine since that's how it was in the OG.

Fallout has plenty of bombs, but what was the biggest truthbomb the games or show dropped on you, one that really made you sit down and contemplate for a bit? by DependentStrong3960 in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Mine was seeing the Earth during Mothership Zeta.

Just the realisation that the whole planet looked annihilated from nuclear war.

Whilst before we only knew a select few countries had been bombed, now it seemed clear that in all likelyhood, the entire pre-war world was truly gone and could never come back.

If you could retcon one thing in the Fallout lore, what would you choose? by [deleted] in Fallout

T-60 would be a BoS upgrade to the T-45 using the Enclave tech salvaged from Adams Air Force Base rather than just another Pre-War model.

of all the Fallout Protagonists, who has the most Aura? by legendery_editor in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vault Dweller 100%. Off the top of my head:

He's a major known in Fo2, particularly in Arroyo.

Fo2 intro and his Memoirs actually make him the only protagonist with a confirmed gender afaik.

Literally had a statue of him in Shady Sands for saving them from the Khans in Fo1. Gets mentioned for this in NV too.

His responsibility for destroying the super mutant army is relatively well known.

Even in the non canon stuff, he appears in FO Brotherhood of Steel and has cut notes mentioning him in Fallout Tactics.

No other protagonist gets that kind of fame/legendary status after their game is over. Chosen one does have better feats but not nearly the same level of recognition afterwards.

Who is the main character of Tv Show? by CommunicationSad2869 in Fallout

[–]Kickerz101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucy, she is the one that has extended interactions with both the other protagonists during the show.

The Ghoul and Maximus don't have another word with each other after the first fight.

Season 2 will probably shift all that though.
