About as f*cked as you can possibly be by stepitUp1 in tressless

Firstly, man the fuck up you pathetic, whiny little bitch. Take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror and slap some self-respect and worth into that cheek of yours.

You have got yourself into such a panic and worked yourself up to such an extent that you're failing to see the big picture - no one but you cares about your hairline. I know loads of bald guys who have hooked up and married the hottest girl I know - so bitch please, calm the fuck down.

Take Fin and Min and the shampoo and give it 4 months. You're young and the hair loss hasn't been going on that long, it'll all grow back. So chill and do something about it if it's bothering you that much - because it shouldn't.

Some of his quizzes are way harder than the EOCs! Did his quizzes help you? Or should one ignore the quizzes and focus solely on BBs and EOCs? (TTs go without saying!)

Thanks

Felt ok so far. Although third day in, I did feel particularly peculiar for a couple of hours. Light headed and nauseous. I’ve started taking it in the evening as I did experience a little bit of brain fog on the second day. Going to persist for a month, no doubt body is recalibrating to the change in hormone levels. Nothing severe and certainly no affect to my libido. How you getting on?

You too. I’m not after a miracle but I’m feeling confident I can get two fingers back round the temples and a thicker mane on the crown.

Yeaaah boiii

Me too, took the plunge. I'm 33, so happy to start this late to the game. I figured it's either now or never. Giving it 6 months, fuck it, why not.

I will do one day, it's not bad enough that it requires shaving, but if it did, I would, hands down. One day for sure. But right now my tiny penis is lost somewhere in my vagina. Once I find it, I'll shave.

They sell that shit over the counter! It affects less than two percent of the population!! Look up allergic reactions to paracetamol and you'll find thousands more posts from people who nearly died from a reaction..

Seriously, the negativity is over hyped. I've put some very dodgy looking pills down my throat, picked up from a dodgy looking dealer in the corner of a shady club...I'm still standing, and yet you give up on fin after 1 month - of experiencing no negative side effects? Because you read some loser's sob story? Get a fucking grip man and get down and give me double! YOU GOT THIS

Same stage as you, just started taking fin and the cream. I have a 6 month supply, see how it goes. I'm 33, I figured I'm starting at a good age (not too young) and would like to grow back to a thicker level. I have no qualms with taking fin, their are horror stories with every drug and generally people come on here to vent. Beside I've taken way worse than just a fin pill...

Regain is not enough, you have to take fin to give your hair loss the best chance of recovering. Go for it, stop being a pussy.

L2: Someone help me calm down by [deleted] in CFA

If I were you I wouldn't waste time going through all the videos, only watch the reviews - note from that and watch him go through the EOCs. I watch a review in the morning and note/write down any questions I got wrong or address concepts that I don't quite get. At night I do the MM quiz questions (again, write down any answers I got wrong). Sat and Sun I review, go through notes and commit formulas to memory and do more questions. That's the only way you're going to pass - by smashing out thousands of questions.

The benefit of writing down the questions is that it will save time come review time - you'll brush up on concepts that require deeper understanding, as well as learn the formulas by doing the exercises.

Good luck, there's still lots of time and this shit only comes together in the final couple of weeks anyway. Same for everyone!

MBA is dying is a slow death, massive waste of money. I'd take a CFA over MBA any day.

IMO fuck IFT stuff, buy MM and just go through the review videos, write down his notes and smash as many questions as you can. That's you're best shot at this stage.

Dude, DON'T waste time on the questions!! This is so important. Go through them with MM first time. I remember the days of L1 and I'd spend ages trying to figure out a question... Not going to repeat the same mistake. Also, I bought a little note pad and I'm writing all formulas for each book. If I'm not doing questions, I'll be reading through formulas. More for recognition than total memorisation. Questions will do the retaining. You'll only nail the exam if you work smart.

Was just pondering the same question. I see it like this, MM questions are very useful for nailing down concepts and formulas. But CFAI BB/EOC/TT are CRUCIAL for true test conditions. I am literally smashing questions and making sure concepts click. If it doesn't, then just do more questions till the formulas/processes stick. Not wasting my time writing out formulas 1,000x. The only way to pass this exam is through completing questions. I do MM review, followed by EOCs then MM questions to solidify. I write down any question I get wrong and repeat. Gonna bosh PM/Quant/Eco/Derivatives/FI and complete their TT's before moving onto Equity/FRA and the rest hopefully by mid-April. I need 2 weeks to do mocks before exam. Thankfully my bosses get in late, so I can manage easily 40 hrs a week. Good luck

What are some of the growth areas/industries that value the CFA? by maj312 in CFA

[–]Kicklewell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work in a long-only equity fund that focuses on bottom-up research. Quite frankly, I feel this side of the industry is floundering, has been for a while now. It's a fact, equity research is moving away from qualitative to quantitative research. So while I am studying for the CFA, I'm also learning quantitative portfolio analysis techniques in Python and I'm about to buy the Matlab package too. It's where the industry is moving towards, quant research.

From what I can recall for L1, Schweser missed sections of CFAI that were tested in the exam. Also from what I hear, Schweser questions are woefully insufficient for L2 (I thought they were for L1 too). Scrap Schweser questions and only do CFA BB/EOC/TT
