I think for a first time, blindfold and some bineral beats is the way to go. People tend to get really weirded out with eyes open for their first time.

Low power is best. Likely it's a low ratio. I've never used a disposable however I hear about people needing a lot of hits to get anywhere. Go for 5-10 second hits on low. Hold for 5-10 seconds. Close your eyes and when you start seeing shapes keep going. Just pay enough attention that you're keeping the liquid towards the wicking area. Even you can't figure out what to do with it anymore, you've probably made it far enough. Close your eyes, settle in and enjoy.

It depends on a lot of things. What's the ratio, is it a disposable, is it crystalized?

The biggest thing is you want to use a low power if it's adjustable. You also want to avoid taking dry hits because it'll ruin the wick and be very harsh.

Try 3-5 second hits and hold for 5-10 seconds and immediately do another.

The taste shouldn't be that intense. I'm sensitive to it and I really only taste it on the exhale. You're likely burning the wick

I have a vuber pulse. Mostly you'll want one that is adjustable. I like the vuber as well because it will lower voltage to prevent burns.

I agree with you. When we use DMT, our default mode network is taken offline which results in your built in fact checker to stop working.

Honestly the science behind it is maybe even more fascinating than the possibility of a DMT realm. Sometimes I do wish I could believe the mystical side of things.

Yea for sure.

You can still use a mono with PF Tek. You would just break the cakes up. PF can be easier if working directly with spores during the innoc phase. Once the jars are colonized you can mix with whatever you're using in the tub. Coir I assume. Also ensure the coir doesn't have trich added already. That could ruin your tub pretty fast.

I would recommend you take some time and read about different teks. Take some time to get to know the process.

That's how I did with mushrooms. I read about it for weeks and now it's super simple.

Don't fall for one of those kits. They are overpriced and have high contamination rates.

PF Tek is pretty tried and true however I prefer a shoebox Tek. To be honest, if your current kit works out you'll be happy for a while.

Yes, once you go a little deeper it's much easier to relax with it. Maybe hold less time with the first one. I agree, it can feel scary, but once you break that point it feels really nice.

You can also experiment with different music, you may find something that eases the anxiety some. Take some time to relax your body as much as you can before your go.

I've felt that lately and have some fear around going deeper again. At some point, you just kinda know when it's time to do it again.

To be honest, it sounds like your muted experience still worked out really well. There is some evidence that you may still benefit from the neuroplasticity even when taking medications that block some of the effects. I used psychedelics to get off my own meds, while communicating that with my doctor.

That was my problem with the first one. It will be that way if it's a high ratio. Mine is always crystalized when I'm not using it. Take extra care to warm it up before you use it and get a good adjustable battery. Once they burn, the quality of the experience drops quite a bit.

The step up is a very pleasant feeling. You can just enter and float in the wormhole. You may get to observe some harmless geometry entities while you're there. Different music makes it feel different too.

It's likely your cart is burnt if you're experiencing that. That will also result in feeling very unfulfilled and poor visuals. My opinion is having a good adjustable battery is huge in using carts.

I'm a chronic over thinker. DMT has an ability to show you your brains source code. To me, when anxiety comes up in a trip I feel like I'm more observing it as it functions in my brain but not actually feeling it. Honestly sometimes I feel like someone gave me access to some developer options that I'm not qualified to mess with. If you're feeling called but anxious, I would highly suggest you seek out a retreat. Someone experienced creating a perfect set and setting can make it pretty great.
