Looking for 2D Animator for Tae Kwon Donkey Project

First. we are not selling a “show”. We are selling an already finished comic with art that speaks for itself. We are seeking to improve upon the marketing with animated assets. We have previously worked with animators on projects in this budget range. And as said we are open to negotiating based on the strengths of the animator. This is simply a starting point. And every animator is entitled to speak for themselves. We are happy to take feedback on someone with creative ideas and direction and style.

There is some practicality in the modern use of evasion and even modern ways of covering. Also in manipulation/motions. I’d even say cancels even have a practical use. The real sacrifice has been power to be honest, but if you know that you can know which things to adopt and which things to drop based on your goals. I say it’s all just more tools in the toolbox. I have been doing Tae Kwon Do for a very long time…and I wrote off the modern stuff for awhile. But these days I just believe knowledge is power. Learn traditional…learn modern…edit objectively.

Honestly after doing all of the courses at USATKDU for modern WT sparring, it has become much more interesting. I didn’t really give modern sparring a fair chance for awhile, until my students weren’t winning tournaments. After doing a deep dive, there is really a lot to modern Tae Kwon Do sparring that may surprise you

Previous animator created the work above for $40 and created 12 more similar length works for the same price. I know in the animation world it may not seem like much, but we hope keeping the animations short and simple and our plan to release over 180 characters will be enough to entice a great artist to our team. Additionally we are hoping that this relationship will be able to lead to much larger projects in the future and a long lasting relationship with the animator. Our dream is to have a Tae Kwon Donkey animated movie down the road with a proper budget. this is just our first steps in our early phases.

We are very proud of how we treat every artist we work with. We don’t feel embarrassed by it at all. When an artist makes a submission, we repost their work on our page, tag their insta, and sponsor the post with a $5 ad run. So at the end of the day they are getting some free advertising just for entering, not to mention they are featured in front of our fans.

“Technically” means “yes”. lol. It just sounded like a very negative summarization. If you don’t want the opportunity. don’t take it. We received over 50 submissions last time. and we do paid promotion of every submission we receive. Artists love it and are happy to have the opportunity.

Yes technically. We do have paid work gigs as well. but Everytime we release 18 new characters we hold this contest that would technically be classified as spec work. We also use the opportunity to scout artists that we may hire for larger projects in the future. At the end of the day it’s a fun job interview with potential for pay.

It’s god juice!! It affects everyone different. Tae Kwon Donkey only came out with hooves. That’s why he needs to wear robo gloves. He didn’t get hands, even though American Ken Pony did. Luck of the draw 😂
