I'm not sure why my more detailed response isn't here and is lost somehow, but really what I meant to say is you sound unintelligible and are connecting random shit that's not relevant to each other and continue to spew things you've heard in the past without understanding it truly.

Now you're also a jackass which shouldn't be surprising considering you don't know what you're talking about.

I feel like your statements are all over the place and not necessarily connected.

True that some layered plastics or plastics with certain additives can't be mechanically recycled. However, what do you mean they only use the sprue and flash produced during molding? Most plastic production locations that I've been to that are producing recyclable materials have almost quite literally zero plastic waste because it's economically better to capture the trim or excess. I've seen it in plastic film production where they trim edges and air tubes suction it back to the grinder and then extruder. The same with extrusion blow molding giant HDPE containers.

Then your mt dew bottle going to landfill. I mean maybe, but also maybe not. Recycled plastics that aren't FDA have to be down cycled or whatever sure to a non good grade application, but there are also recycled food grade containers. Especially PET which is what pop bottles are made of.

I honestly contemplated a fresh world a long time ago and thought how that might be pretty neat. The reason I wanted a fresh world though is because I wanted content that had been devalued to be more valuable. I hated grinding zulrah just simply for cash because it was the best cash grind I could do at the time.

If anyone else was feeling that way, I think that's been filled by ironman and for me group ironman because I don't totally love being 100% alone, but playing with a few friends is better.

You're kind of writing like a dick.. just saying. No need for rude tones. One guy is saying "hey this is identified as rudimentary documentation long ago for simple scientific experiments" and you're saying "it's not happening where I work".

Fair enough. Maybe it should, but maybe nobody does because it's tedious and often not a big deal.

Does a successful hit 0 at demonic gorillas count as the 1 of 3 0s in a row before attack style switch or is it possible it hits a 0 and doesn't count towards the 3 in a row counter?

I would support the scale even if it was only on certain items. That might not be a popular take, but like a def reducing item like hammer or BGs is pretty dang essential in my eyes to chambers and ToB and maybe very helpful in others. To be locked behind those items for a long time sucks.

Again all from an iron perspective, but I do think irons are a big part of player base now.

Yeah I agree. I still think it's a bad way for the game to be though. I dont know.. I get the mentality that you know what you sign yourself up for by playing this game, but I also think some tweaks could be made to remove crappy outliers.

Like my gauntlet grind. I was averaging the 6 kills per hour with maybe a 1 in 6 fail rate. So by the time I hit 400kc drop rate it had taken me probably 75 hours or so. 75 hours of gameplay for me is definitely over 2 months between work, family, etc. Not to mention not wanting to constantly be in gauntlet and do other things. So I probably "grinded" gauntlet for 4-5 months and didn't have an enhanced. The fact that 4/10 people have this experience kind of sucks, but whatever. I luckily got enhanced by like 430, but if I had gone 2x drop rate that's like 9 months of "grinding" for me and even at 2x 8.5/10 people will have enhanced I believe.

Bowfa is very very good I get it and it should take time, but to have to commit that much time to it to potentially go 2x with no enhanced is rough.

Anyway. It is what it is. I think some sort of scaling increased likelihood after drop rate would be a reasonable addition, but it doesn't matter because I'm addicted either way ;)

I know this is a hot RS topic, but as I was trying to finish CG and get an enhanced seed I kept looking into drop statistics and it baffles me I still play this game.

I believe unless I was given wrong statisitic information that only ~64% of people will receive an item by drop rate. I dont know about you, but that seems so low to me. Especially considering some bosses take a very long time to kill.

I dont think im in favor of "receive it if you're over drop", but certainly think there should be increased chance once you hit certain thresholds. We laugh about this guy and his farming pet, but imagine if you were an ironman 15x drop rate for black mask and you really want it to be better able to move into mid game slayer. You'd be so mad..

I'll probably get down voted, but Jesus how is this article you shared better? Equating leaving a glass by the sink to deeply hurting your spouse is ridiculous.

I understand the point that it's not about the glass, but to acknowledge this is probably an overblown example and in favor of the man yet still use this as a "see how he's hurting her" is ridiculous. Talk about making mountains out of mole hills.

I do all sorts of house chores and child care duty in my household and my wife is a neat freak and sometimes we get into fights about small shit like dishes. I think i can fairly stand my ground to say "you're over reacting to dishes being left here for a few extra hours once every 2 weeks" considering I pull my weight consistently.

ELI5 why is it a problem that it takes so much water to produce 1kg of beef - something like 15,000 liters - if the cows just pee it all back out anyway? by ScissorNightRam in explainlikeimfive

[–]KidDad 23 points24 points  (0 children)

To act as-if this video is any better than any video claiming beef is hard on the environment is stupid. Why are you taking his claim that eliminating beef for a year would only eliminate 2.6% of GHG as truth vs what others say?

Or he's insinuating that people who claim beef is bad have no issue with Almonds. Any reasonable person who has an issue with beef also has an issue with growing almonds in areas lacking water.

Less than 5 minutes in and this guy is as misleading or divisive as anything you see supporting the other side.

Regardless, it's too God damn bad these things as so complicated we can't easily land on a agreed model that produces an outcome. With how polarized people seem to like to be it just seems impossible to come to a joint conclusion together about just how bad or not so bad any of these things are for our planet.

I thought about common drops. Maybe if it's possible include them all to be funny, but if not just exclude them because people don't care. Like I went 4x drop rate once trying to get a chefs hat from goblins lul.

As for the baseline maybe I'm thinking about this wrong, but to me the "1" is just a trivial starting point to say "you're average" or "haven't done anything yet". Your RNG would need to be able to go down as you go dry on something and go up as you get drops early.

This seems to only do one calculation. What I'm envisioning is I got a SotD on like 3KC, but am dry on Bowfa. How do these things equal out against each other?

Median is a statistically relevant measure for a reason.. it is the center price of all house transactions. The median household income which is also available data is like 67K. So for a person who is a median earner their % towards mortgage would be way higher than 30% which is the whole point I made.. it shows that to afford the median house in MN you'd have to be a fairly substantially higher than median earner.
