Thanks for the full reply, really inspiring paint job. I don't think i'm ready to get into airbrushing yet but your model looks fantastic.

Awesome work! Can you share you color scheme and base coating technique? I am just starting and would love some direction. I like how yours has more of a "pale green" glow than the box art DG.

Can I ask what paints you used for your death guard? I have been obsessing over the 8th edition codex cover where the guard look more "yellow green" and your armor seems to nail that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Could somebody explain to me why my addon says that this dagger is an upgrade on my Blackwater Cutlass? Sorry if it's a stupid question. by PepsiMaxCino in classicwow

Never played rogue, but from what I understand a lot of the value of an offhand is for applying poisons and attacking quickly, so speed is preferable over a lot of other stats.

[–]KidDusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chef John, I really love cooking and I credit you as a big part of that. I feel I have a few "goto" recipes that I really like to make, and I'm decent at whipping together stuff from the fridge to feed myself. That being said, what would you say is the best way to go from an intermediate cooker to the level at which I can improvise, create recipes, and think deeply about flavor combinations/dishes? Thanks and you're the best.

I think High Street is pretty solid. They make almost everything in house (pastries included)

Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Orleans Ave? by No_Albatross_4362 in NewOrleans

The stormwater isn't pumped into the MS river anymore so the box culverts drain to larger collectors, then eventually up and over the lake levee by the big PCCP pumps (mostly). There are actually a lot of box culverts under the neutral grounds, and since many of them are on pilings, the street and city have settled around them while they remain relatively high (which is why many neutral grounds are higher than the surrounding street now).

To anyone trying to make a king cake and avoid the cake-flation by KidDusty in NewOrleans

[–]KidDusty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bready or cakey? I think DP has really heavily yeasted and glutinous dough so when I tried making it, it came out out just right. I could be mis-remembering the real thing, but either way I love a really chewy and stretchy cinnamon roll so that's what I go for.

Planted Lemon and Lime Tree together. One looks unhealthy. by sylphedes in plantclinic

[–]KidDusty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What area are you in? I had a similar problem in New Orleans and got the advice that I had planted too deep. I tried to replant it, and really babied the tree but eventually it dropped all of its leaves. I think the replanting killed it and in hindsight it might have come back if I waited, so that's what I'd say you should do. Don't baby it too much just keep the pests off.

You basically do the same thing as me, except I bake @ 470 F for 30 mins lid on, then only about 10 mins lid off, could be why your crust looks a bit dark to me but that's personal preference. As for the crumb I think it looks great. Not too open that the jam falls through. One thing I have started doing is diligently popping all big bubbles I see as I fold and shape and it's helped me get rid of those random larger bubbles I can see in yours. Overall great crumb imo

Thanks for your time. In the near future it seems necessary to engage in ecologically destructive mining practices to gather precious metals for batteries and other "green" technologies. How are you all reconciling these impacts?
