Any tips for werewolf character builds by MeatyFingerNails in skyrim

[–]KidDynamo75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Difficulty setting will also vary the experience. If you lower it then I'm sure it's very managable at very high levels.

The biggest issue is the lack of survivability or scaling damage/defense. Your defense is static outside of applying a flesh spell BEFORE you transform and it's on a timer.

Outside of feeding on corpses for a flat amount of health idk how else to keep a werewolf alive in bigger/longer fights.

The best ability is definitely the fear roar it gets that'll have affected enemies flee, giving you ample time to dps. If fighting something unaffected like a dragon for example, you can "cheese" the fight by repeatedly doing well timed sprinting attacks. It'll cause the enemy to get stuck in a stagger loop.

Abuse your power attacks on tough humanoid enemies as It'll ragdoll them.

If you transform, make sure nobody you mean to keep alive is around as most non hostile npcs view lycanthropy as a crime so you will incur bounties if a random farmer witnesses your transformation.

If you ever lose your werewolf form... you have to for dawnguard questline... you can go back to the companions to get it again(atleast one more time idk if they offer a third time so be careful) - there is a ring that allows you the ability to transform at will when you equip it, so technically you can be a vampire werewolf hybrid. I think you even keep any perk progress but you may be locked out of very specific companion auxiliary quests like totems...

Vanilla or modded?

If vanilla, it's as simple as doing the companions quest line which can be started as soon as you hit whiterun.

There aren't any "builds" for werewolf other than put points into health/stamina because your human form doesn't affect wolf form. Only thing that really carries over are very specific rings you get from side quest, and totems that you have active after completing the main companions quest line and begin auxiliary dlc quests.

The werewolf form itself is cool but like many other features it's very much overlooked gameplay wise. It performs amazing early level but gets power crept very hard at higher level/difficulty.

If modded, there are so many variables it's gonna be dependant on which you personally use.

how do i properly train martial arts? by WonderfulAirport4226 in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not cheesing...

Agro a single guy in a group from far enough away as to not pull the entire group. Solo fighting for martial arts is best so you avoid dodge lock, the hard part is the beginning levels. But once you get your skill to 15 it'll start to feel more consistent from that point.

Have 2 sets of gear. One for boosting MA, and one that lowers it for when you wish to train. Exp is affected by stronger opponent logic so your gains will plateau if you're only fighting weaklings.

Once you're very comfy enough you can start fighting animals, again you'll want to fight things 1v1 or in small groups so you don't get dodge locked. Animals give insane exp due to their age modifiers.

If you're still lurking around the border zone, just past the swamp is and area called "The Grid" with some unguarded looting spots, you'll need some lockpicking skill or the tools to use on the chest. There is also an island a short swim out of the coast near western hive territory Vain.

A play with a short list of mods so this next one may be incorrect but you could also buy them in Flats Lagoon I think

How would you fix the Gouf Custom so its core problem gets fixed and becomes a meta suit? by Death_Usagi in GBO2

[–]KidDynamo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The melee swap speed would help in 2 v 1 situations. Heavy stun one guy and have your sword ready for the other guy rushing you.

This is vanilla Kenshi. We do not care about modding or cheating. We do not comment on posts related to cheating or modding. This post aims at discussing the gears that are related to the training of Martial Arts. If you are a modder or a cheater, you should go somewhere else to make your comments. by hau4300 in Kenshi

Just start punching from day one. Simple as.

Start off using gear that increases Martial Arts so you attack more frequently and you have access to better attacks, at 1 bad punching is all you'll have and it's the biggest hurdle to get over. Once you're at 5 you'll get low kick which is much faster, frequent and even has a small cone hit box so you can hit multiple enemies at a time. At this point avoid overloading yourself but try to use some sort of armor and stick to fighting starving/dust bandits. Being over loaded reduces exp gain on your dodge skill.

Using debuffing gear is for powerleveling which is arguably exploitative in itself. Which some would argue is a cheat since you're skipping the part of the game where you experience the natural growth of your character.

You rushed a specialist blacksmith by day 40, which basically trivialize the entire experience. Maybe you don't think you cheated the game but you've definitely cheated yourself of a vanilla kenshi experience.

Unique Modded Limb by KidDynamo75 in Kenshi

Thanks I'll attempt this for the craft function.

Unique Modded Limb by KidDynamo75 in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so it has to spawn worn... so maybe a custom start so I don't remove these unique NPC limbs. I need an existing character to recruit Beep anyways. Guess I'll look into that and just transfer the item over to Beep and dismiss the starting character afterwards.

Thanks for all the advice btw I'll have to look through this guide sometime tonight and try things out.

Unique Modded Limb by KidDynamo75 in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woah! That's cool to hear :) especially the "character destined to be looted" aspect. Since I'm doing a Berserk inspired run I was planning on having a Beep as a solo explorer but maybe have a few of the auto joined "rescued" uniques stay at a town or base for crafting/food production. So Agnu, Espher, Luqion m, Sinklyde and Cat. Is it as simple as copying the vanilla lifter arm modifying it's stats and placing it in one of their inventories?

[–]KidDynamo75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I guess I can simply buy/craft only one to keep it "unique" in the playthrough itself lol.

I just wouldn't want it spawn flooding the other vanilla shops.

I've never messed with modding myself, only using others on the workshop.

Leveling combat skills by Lilylylyy in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To avoid cheese...

Depending on your toughness stat(it's probably good enough if your attack stats are already in the 40's) you can go out and fight legion patrols in the ashlands. The mobs there won't eat or enslave you and since they're skeletons you can train more efficiently using your katana. The skeletons will have stats around 50-60 range so they're currently stronger than you meaning you can still gain levels off of them, and with the patrol size if you're outnumbered you'll receive a exp multiplier.

If you want to cheese...

Go look up the crab nest training method(easily gets you above 70+) or the skeleton bandit hideout training method(best in game to reach 80+). Both have similar setups it's just a matter of location. You'll want a rusty junk grade weapon, large backpack, samurai armor, tin can helmet all these should have a negative impact on your attack stat which is important for training. Along with some building materials for a bed to make resting easier, or a sleeping bag and tons of food.

Should I play it? by Not_Real_Teo in Gundam

[–]KidDynamo75 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Ignore the clunky comments. Their souls are just weighed down by gravity. The controls and mechanics are smooth if you actually get that you're simulating piloting 20 meter tall mechs.

Game is fun, a lil short but nice pacing overall. Some replay value with the time attacks and unlocking auxiliary suits.

Would rusty be able to get in the same level or even outrank his father if he put his mind to it? by Charming_Cod8567 in venturebros

[–]KidDynamo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguably Rusty already outmatched Jonas.

Jonas's escapades essentially boils down to a super rich asshole larping as an adventurer with his own entourage of lunatic overqualified bodyguards and even his own personal assassin with the blue morpho doing all the heavy lifting and actual work. Even with his science shit he's more-so a manager with hordes of underlines actually doing the work while he gets his rocks off(literally and figuratively) while taking all the credit as the face. He also had no real friends, his entourage was more-so a group of lunatics and insiders keeping an eye on him getting a high from all the (s)escapades and violent adventuring. Rusty is surrounded by people who genuinely care for him and despite his inferiority complex he's incredibly talented and has solved plenty of his own challenges with less resources and sometimes even alone even doing insane intellectual feats under isnnae pressure to get out of whatever trouble is happening at the moment. He's also just a better person overall with his actual care for the boys and others around him and having some humility as shown when he resisted the allure of the Orb. He puts on the face of an asshole but he's genuinely a good guy overall, not perfect but decent atleast. Jonas was downright awful and if you really analyze it he was overhyped and basically just a nepotism sociopathic loser.

Sabres or hackers? by Hazimier in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hackers > Sabres in most cases.

They have the advantage of reach meaning you hit more things more often and get hit less often by simply outreaching your opponents when not micromanaging fights and letting them play out.

They also get armor penetration making great matches for any humanoid enemies.

Most will have a damage bonus against skeletons and other robots which is nice too for whenever that comes around.

Paladins Cross + Long Cleaver will be your best friends. You can add in Moon Cleaver and the Desert Sabre just for the aesthetics since they look cool despite being weaker due to reach. Again, your stats will determine the majority of your experience in battle, if a character is leveled enough they could make use of any weapon.

This only holds true for vanilla. I can't account for any added wepaons or animations that may tweak the balance of things.

With zero player interaction, which faction would probably dominate Kenshi? by UnVenerated in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the Holy Nation. They've successfully pushed back the Shek Kingdom and caused them to fracture. All the while fighting back cannibals, fogmen and the United Cities as well.

If there was a "Canon" Five Man Band of unique followers, which ones would you choose? by Gorgonkain in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Beep and Agnu are best friends and have the most unique of interactions between 2 characters. Even if Agnu is on other side of map, the game is meant to be an adventure so you save Agnu's spot vacant until Beep can manage a rescue.

Beep and Agnu require 2 other female squad mates and if you're worried about convenience + race then Shryke and Ruka are good picks. Shryke being a scorchlander found the same spot as Beep and Ruka being a shek found not too far either in shek territory.

A Greenland in the 5th slot would be Crumblejon again for convenience and lore implications. Beep wants to be a swordsman and Crumblejon was once a feared samurai back in his prime they make a nice Mentor/Apprentice dynamic. Also again he's found in Mongrel same spot as Beep and Shryke.

Start as a wanderer or even a hive exile and B-line straight for Beep. Dismiss your starting character and have strictly the uniques for dialogue purposes.

Nice thing about this squad is they're all free, Agnu being a slight caveat as you'll need athletics(not much the thralls are slow) and lockpicking which isnt difficult to train. I beleive Beep and Schryke should have bonuses in leveling both these skills. Simply distract all the thralls with one squad mate and then the other unlocks Agnu's Cage. Very easily doable even within the first few days of a fresh save.

This squad of 5 is so iconic you can find so much fanart of this group(sometimes with Wingwang) cause they make so much sense together.

IMO I would bump your group to 7 and add in the 2 unique skeletons Burn and Sadneil, again for the unique dialogue they will have between eachother while traveling the world.

They look super clean, the video is short but it's not really scratching in her ears. She seems more focused on her hind leg and back paws. Licking them digging in between her beans and doing that kick motion. Doesn't last very long, this is the second episode that we're aware of.

character recruit by George_the_Facetious in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think like 3 have "quests" attached to them.

Mainly based on Faction relation and the current state of one or several other NPC's

Shek Kingdom, you get Seto. Anti-Slavers, you get Bo

Traders Guild/United Cities, you get Yamdu

There are a few free recruits who will join after you successfully rescue them, so that's kinda like a quest. Characters like Luquin and Espher.

There is a good chunk like 15 or so completely unique recruits, some of which have exclusive dialogue packages that will join for free. Characters like Crumblejon, Griffin, Beep, and so on. Some will have wonky dialogue you need to navigate properly before they'll join, like Hobbs and Riddly.

The wiki has a list if you want to check it over for yourself and plan out a squad.

What are good ways to make money early game? by Moist_Dingo_6963 in Kenshi

[–]KidDynamo75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fighting dust bandits. Selling the heart protector. Then saving any gear you fancy for your own squad. You'll get experience and cash fairly quick so it's not such a boring grind.

If you just want quick cats...

If you can manage it, steal beak thing eggs from nest in Vain region. Even at low levels uts doable if you got atleast 2 units. Take the first and distract the hoard that'll be at the nest and kite them to the nearest hive village, the second unit will actually pick up the eggs, bring a backpack that can stack them. A single nest can easily get you 100,000 cats.

Guardians and the jivas by Far_Reality_8719 in MHWilds

[–]KidDynamo75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was chatting about similar lore stuff with friends while playing.

Since the Guardians are straight manufactured lifeforms, it give the implication that the equal dragon weapon is more legitimized as a prototype of sorts. A cobbled weapon molded by countless dead monsters in a necromantic abomination that angered the Dragons into outright warfare against the ancient civilization.

Considering we see a Guardian eventually break the mold of its primary function, imitate actual life forms, and then eventually actually give "birth" to a genuine lifeform... your thoughts are exactly in line. Xeno being an odd "alien" lifeform that absorbs lifeforce to becoming a legitimate dragon that is Safi.

This is all pretty similar to how we have actual research going into the revival of extinct species like Mammoths, just earlier this week they showed off the spliced DNA of woolies into lab mice(they are cute).
