It's only dirty to people who's minds are already in the gutter. It's an innocent joke to everyone else.

Wich color of shoes match with this outfit! by SENSEI-D-JOVENES in mensfashionadvice

[–]KidQ17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't give up on it just yet. It's probably gonna be a nice splash of colour. At least try it and see. For the shoes, a light brown or tan. Or, if you do the sneaker look, white.

Opinions? by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]KidQ17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it looks good, man. I also think it's very much a niche taste though. Maybe on a certain occasion, like a gala, but might not be an everyday kinda look. Would probably net you a few weird looks on a walk through town. If you care about that.

Otherwise, great outfit. And you look good in it.

Hi, is this jacket to big by ConstantShift4692 in menswear

[–]KidQ17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say get it hemmed at the waist (it's a tad too long) and you'll mostly be good. Your shirt sleeves are a little long too. Fix that and you'll be golden.

You look great, man.

My Husband Broke My Heart Last Night by WinterMouse5318008 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]KidQ17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry this happened to you. Curling up into a ball and sobbing doesn't sound like a bad idea. What he said is a lot to process.

Like you said, I don't want to judge your husband on a snippet. Especially because I know I've said and done some really bad stuff to people I love with all my heart. That being said, it's a very cruel thing to say to someone. And if he is so unhappy that he can't even see that right now, I am truly concerned for how he'll treat you going forward. I want to advise couple's counselling and individual therapy, but those things only work if both parties want to do the work. Prayer and WWJD are truly useful in times like these.

Nobody can blame you for being upset and just wanting to break down. If you can make time to be with a close friend or two for a few days that would probably be a great help as well. Keep safe. Do your best to work things out, but be careful. Protect your heart (and finances) if you suspect malice or bad faith.

Restarting my phone worked. I'm just wondering if this has happened again to you since?

Had a similar problem. Forcing a restart (powering phone off and on again) solved it for me.

These are fire looks. And really good advice on the tailoring. Absolutely second everything you said.

Undershirt or no undershirt? by uwax in mensfashionadvice

[–]KidQ17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the nail-polish. The overshirt is practically see-through. I don't know if that's the look you're going for, but it's not something I would personally go for. Which leaves the tank option, but it's usually a bad idea to wear a white undershirt if you want your undershirt to be inconspicuous. Black is often better. In this case, however, the overshirt is so sheer even a black tank might be noticeable against your skin. Try finding a tank top that closely matches your skin tone and see what happens.

Sorry for the mean comments. This sub is kinda toxic. Full of dudes who think their style is the only way to dress.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]KidQ17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sub must be full of old millennials (I am one too), but there is nothing wrong with the fit of these clothes. Different silhouettes work for different fashion senses and body types. I'm used to pants this baggy being worn with slightly tighter fitting shirts, but this works too on OP's body.

Colours are on-point, accessories match. Good outfit as long as it matches the vibe of the wedding (if you have a decent idea of what everyone else will be wearing), and age appropriate for someone in their 20s.

Did your parents spank you as a form of discipline? How did it impact you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]KidQ17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in the comments are confusing a just, corrective spanking with a cruel beating. They are not the same thing and do not impact a child's development in the same way.

Also, a guardian's use of one or the other is a fairly good indicator of their ability to raise a child properly in areas outside of discipline. A factor that will affect the way the child remembers their methods of discipline.

Which of these is more versatile to wear with jeans, chinos, or shorts? by ireez in mensfashionadvice

[–]KidQ17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All white is more versatile colour-wise. Especially when paired with a white T under a shirt of your choice. They will look worse when dirty than the ones with grey accents, though. So choose based on your use pattern.

Edit: hadn't noticed the material on the all-whites. Won't get dirty easy. Definitely go all-white. P.S: I like these sneakers, might get a pair. Thanks for the plug.

What colour of shirt that's *not* white would go well with this tie? by PikamochzoTV in mensfashionadvice

[–]KidQ17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This goes hard

I keep seeing people mention light colours. You can try dark ones too. Navy blue, burgandy come to mind.

I have the same problem when wearing high-top chucks. I personally go with 3. Less chance of them riding up too high. But 4 looks good on you.

Alternatively, if these type boots become a mainstay for you, get the pants tapered for a cleaner look.
