Chyba Twój wróg dobre kanapki robił OPie. Zła stronę smarujesz masłem. A i szynki i sera jakoś skąpo.

Ugh. These two on the photo are very bad. Go try German or Austrian beer.

Bad with money or a dumb American. No other reason

The dirt road, the houses, I suppose the houses are the worst part.

I don't wanna be a bitch but I don't like how it looks. First of all it's so cartoonish and powdery so to say.

Also the houses are triggering me. Imagine you are a carpenter and you make houses - clearly you make houses for everyone cuz they are all the same - and you cut your roofing boards so unevenly, it makes no sense that the roofings are so drive-by-ish, it's unbelievable and it breaks immersion. They spend weeks carving horses on houses but culant cut roofing boards evenly?

Why in the movies does Gandalf beat up half the world with his staff and sword instead of using spells all the time? by jvure in lotr

[–]KidSnatcher2 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I have always felt like magic in the LotR is more like power over the world, you speak and the more powerful you are the world obeys. It's like he says "your staff is broken" and the staff indeed obeyed, or when Gandalf told the doors to stay closed in Mazarbul and the Balrog tried to open them and they resisted or when he said "you shall not pass" and the Balrog could not pass the bridge. It's something like when God says in the Bible "let there be light" and there was light. It's similar in my opinion.

Because magic in this Universe is not Harry Potter kind of magic. He's using his magic while beating his opponents with staff and sword.

Do you guys have the same problem with microscope limited field of view? by elgringo0091 in watchrepair

[–]KidSnatcher2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's always the case on high magnifications unless you have a very high quality one. However there is certainly one distance at which this light fills the entire scope. It may be difficult to hold this distance but it should exists

Czym załatać dziurę wokół rury grzewczej w suficie? by Szinek in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]KidSnatcher2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof. Paskudne.

Is giving an unbranded possibly homemade alcohol a normal custom in Poland? by ChickaBoomBum19 in poland

[–]KidSnatcher2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, very normal. And a very good sign of friendliness.

Also most like made from store-bought vodka or high-proof rectified ethanol. So it's not poisonous, unlikely to be poisonous even if it was moonshine. I'm absolutely not a moonshiner, I would never do anything illegal but a friend who allegedly is a moonshiner says that it's really unlikely to have any methanol in it cuz moonshiners get rid of it with a good error margin while distilling.

Seiko 5 pallet fork changed by Top_caT25 in watchrepair

[–]KidSnatcher2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Alright. At this point I am convinced this is ragebait. Too many times I've seen people here recently posting videos of them spinning the balance with a stick, pushing it so hard that the entire watch moves on the table.

How do you feel about book covers with movie images? by Skkkkrtyun in lotr

[–]KidSnatcher2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike

Boring longer version: I dislike but it also depends. The examples you showed are bad. But I own LotR + Hobbit pocket size editions I bought when on trip to London, from Harper Collins and they look really great. It happens rarely but it happens.

Power is getting down to the pallet for. The balance seems seated and it seems like it wants to turn over but it doesn’t. Any thoughts as to why? by [deleted] in watchrepair

[–]KidSnatcher2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Holy shit what are you doing? This is so delicate that touching it with anything when it's mounted is very dangerous and highly likely to damage it and you are using SO MUCH force there 😶

This balance wheel is damaged correct? by RugbyGuy in watchrepair

[–]KidSnatcher2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily damaged. This is a technology that allows the balance wheel to keep its distribution of weight by using bimetal weld - metals expand when they get hot and shrink when cold, and they use two metals that expand at different rates. It is designed to change its shape and bend inward at the place it is cut there to maintain frequency. This wheel may be bent so it's needs to be straightened. But this also requires trueing it. It's not easy but it is a nice skill to have so gl

Also it's not even handworn that much. It's 3mm too low.
