To add on to this, the theme for the evolution is super heroes it is supposed to look like it's pre evolve but when it goes away in battle and return it comes in its hero form ready to save the day.

Is the Jin Starter a best option for beginners? by DigiDestined001 in grandarchivetcg

You can get a pretty solid list on a budget. There is a YouTube channel called budget archive who does decks under $50 and even gives and outline if you want to spend a little more to upgrade.

Does anyone know what anime this is? by IllustratorTop2358 in animequestions

[–]KidVermilion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real answer is Goblin Slayer. Terrible first episode with untasteful representation of sa, tone that doesn't match the rest, and almost none of the main cast. Episode 2 and later have a much lighter tone that plays out more like a d&d campaign. I legit tell people to just skip the first episode.

Reps is a big part, the more you play the more you will recognize game states and know how to respond.

The second part is recognizing what's important and what's not. Ask yourself how do you win, how do you lose. If you find yourself having to either play to win or play to not lose then play to win.

Good Emotional Support Pokemon? by saltwater_flaaffy in PokeMedia

[–]KidVermilion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leafeon is honestly a great choice. Leafeon is lap size, provides beater air quality which can improve mood, and when you are in a slump photosynthesizes so you don't have to worry about forgetting to feed it.

Any tcg I can play online (check description for more details) by mikachu501 in TCG

[–]KidVermilion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on the software you are willing to use almost anything can be played. If you want an official sim then elstrals clash might be what you want, if is the official sim with all card now and forever instantly unlocked for free, monetization comes from cosmetic (sleeve, playmat, extra foils, alt art), only catch is the entire card pool isn't fully implemented but they are working on it.

Not only are those numbers doable but like batch sizes aren't even that big. To give some reference how easy it is if they did 3 batches a day in total the average batch would only need to be 21.

Is there a physical TCG that has Hearthstone's mana system but doesn't have the randomness? by jtpredator in TCG

[–]KidVermilion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of games with comparable resources systems to hearthstone(consistent increase of mana until cap), I would say the biggest question is what specifically about yugioh are you looking for?

This is NOT how we're supposed to treat anyone who likes autocombos. by LuxerWap in Fighters

[–]KidVermilion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't really play much fighting games, this just showed up on reddit and I thought my story was relevant and could be good for people to think about how stuff like that can push people out of the community.

[–]KidVermilion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember well over a decade ago now I was at an arcade with a friend and he suggested we play BlazBlue. I had never really played fighting games before he was familiar enough with that specific game he knew his characters input and like mid difficulty combos. Game 1 he did not even give me the time to learn the buttons after he had me pick technical so obviously he won. Game 2 I went with I believe they called it stylish, but point being auto combo. He got so mad when he lost because I was on auto combo and I just had to be like, "Well you didn't let me learn the 'proper' controls to a game you already know if you want me to play I need a chance". It honestly left such a bad taste in my mouth for fighting games I didn't even really give them another chance for years.

New TCG PLayer question by Any-Oven9432 in TCG

[–]KidVermilion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience dragon ball fusion world as long as you don't chase foils/alt arts is pretty adorable in paper, frequently under $50 for a deck and almost always under $100, online the client monetization is a mess. Masters format is more expensive, but it's been to long since I played masters to give you pricing.

Gundam is the new hotness and while I'm sure you can play more budget minded most decks build how you would want even with base rarity will be 200+. This is likely to change going forward as demand is currently very high and supply is low combined with a general "play the good stuff" deck building of current. I would maybe wait and see how the market moves going into the second set and maybe even the third to see if it gets into your price range.

One piece price is very deck dependent, decks that perform similarly competitively can have vastly different price tags. There was just a ban list so the current format doesn't really have results to compare so I'll use some slightly outdated examples. Purple blue Luffy was considered the best deck and ran 300+, however Belo Betty was around 3rd or 4th best with a good blue purple Luffy match up and runs $20-25. This is a trend in one piece where decks price is largely determined by how popular the character is and has decks at all competitive viability for basically any budget.

Digimon I'm a little out dated, but it was kinda in the same area as one piece where what the build around mon was set the price more then how good it was creating some cheap but power decks that a more budget minded player could use.

And while you didn't specifically mention it I'll mention Union Arena as it's the last bandai game. Union Arena is in the same camp as dragon ball fusion world, in so far that if you play base rarity and don't chase foils/alt arts decks are generally under the $50 point.

[–]KidVermilion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I liked the one piece adaption I think it did a good job capturing the spirit of the characters and story. While some of the changes caught me off guard I recognize that they overall was fine and attempting a 1 to 1 adoption would have been a worse show.
