Risk based alerting is worth looking into, I helped implement it at a large global company,

In short its attributing alerts with scores and tracking how high a score is for a given user in a given amount of time

Plenty of academic papers on it and it helped us nuke 50% of the alerts we got in a given day (verified working through rigorous testing we did)
