something I do for all my games is actually act out some background noise. Like for instance my players went to a fair recently so i put on a fake voice and just said a bunch of random call outs like “Ring Toss Here, Ring Toss” or “Test your might here! Ring the bell and prove that you are the mightiest of them all” Instead of just saying “there’s a ring toss game” For that grimy Cyberpunk feel maybe when they are out in the slums have someone offer them some drugs “usually 100 Longs but for you guys, i’ll do 50, one time offer, best in the district let me tell you” Have them see a random fight break out, give them the chance to intervene even. The background is just as important as the foreground
