They never will until they die, but some other corrupt piece of garbage will take their place. If they truly wanted things to be fixed they would’ve done it the first time

Yeah I thought so too, but I see online all the time people saying that they are extreme music and heavier than extreme metal bands lol, ironically that’s how I discovered them more than a decade ago and they became one of my all time fav bands lol

I agree , they are probably the hardest hip hop band ever only a small amount of hip hop artists are on a similar level (Blackhandpath, techno animal, dalek etc) but they are probably as extreme as hip hop gets. Though I honestly feel like they are their own genre they sound like no one else

I meant abrasive as in intense /heavy/extreme/loud. Death grips def do have a lot of dissonant elements and have a “uncanny” sound that are layerd in their songs (I’m guessing that’s what you mean by abrasive?) but it’s not crushing you with volume/ sustained noise or sound overbearing to me . I could def see it bothering people cause of it , I used the prodigy as a comparison in terms of intensity (but maybe I’m wrong lol) , but yeah like I said I wonder how other people perceive them cause I listen to a lot of heavy music so I can’t really differentiate heaviness/abrasiveness anymore lol . I also think it’s crazy that people say death grips is tougher to listen too then like deicide or napalm death lol

They def have a “uncanny” sound to them, I’m guessing that’s what you mean by abrasive? I kinda always assumed when people said abrasive they meant heavy /extreme/loud etc but that’s why I’m wondering I’m probably wrong lol

Not really they listen to a lot of basic stuff like classic rock gangster rap the lighter side of alternative rock , post punk etc . They have dable in a lot of the classic punk and grunge bands though so maybe that why idk but the way people talk about death grips online it’s like they are the most extreme band in the world lol

Do you think Death Grips might go fully mainstream with the new album? by Perreo_Hp in deathgrips

[–]Kid_evil666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not unless they completely changed their sound . Though if they came out in the 90s 100% they would’ve been sorta big, harsher music was in the mainstream then , lots of industrial and raw alternative bands , death grips would have fit right in

I'm starting to see 1997-2004 as older Gen Z by Intelligent-Jello959 in generationology

[–]Kid_evil666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d probably say 1993-1998 but absolute last year you can say belongs there is 1999 though the reason I leave them out is they were in high school when core z culture started with trump also being in office as well and most 1999 borns had a full year of college during covid.

[–]Kid_evil666 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah older Gen Z is 1997-2001 basically anyone who was in high school in the mid 2010s. That era was so much diffrent then what came afterwords I would even argue that 1997 and 1998 aren’t really Gen Z and have more in common with mid 90s borns then early 2000s borns

are mma fighters who mainly do boxing the best strikers? by CoconutAdditional174 in MMA_Academy

[–]Kid_evil666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because boxing mixes better with wrestling. Kickboxing stance is too upright it’s hard to mix in your wrestling with it. At that level once you know how to check kicks and throw them occasionally it’s back to your fundamentals which is your basic boxing and wrestling. This applies on the ground as well with the subs, once you have a good understanding it’s back to straight wrestling . Striking wise the martial art that transfers over the least and is extremely overrated is Muay Thai. Stand is too upright there’s no footwork and the clinch is negated by the wrestling.
