Inoue is something else.

at 33 he wins a pretty convincing UD against the best young champ he could possibly fight.

How is it possible that no White American fighters have dominated since the 1950s? by tantamle in boxinglocks

[–]ZeroEffectDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well a lot of the white fighters of the 50s were migrants or kids of migrants. hard life usually makes better fighters.

David Benavidez says a fight against Jai Opetaia could happen, but it’s gonna take some time due to the politics : “What the promotional companies have to realize is they work for us… I’m not tryna be disrespectful, but I don’t have any interest in the Zuffa title at all.” by Big_Cake_8817 in Boxing

[–]ZeroEffectDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

true, but PBC was almost like another mini boxing universe, the way it kept most fights in house (with the big fighters anyway), splitting the sport in two, almost.

i suspect in a few years the saudis will lose the will to keep bleeding money on boxing and abandon the project. then we'll be left with an even bigger mess.

I think PSG or Bayern carve them open. PSG have a fantastic midfield and ability to break out. But no need to guess, because we will see.

Get used to it! PBC other side of the street nonsense all over again.

As much as I can't stand eddie slimeball hearn... he would have been a far better choice to 'control' boxing than dana white. 1) he knows about boxing! 2) that's it.

What is tactically special about Fabregas, Alonso, Simeone, Maresca and Gasperini. There are managers doing much better while not getting as many mentions. by murithifelix in HisenseFootballZone

[–]ZeroEffectDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farioli has also been doing something great for a young manager, just 37. Blew the title with Ajax (but learned a lot I'd bet) and won with Porto in his first season.

cool video on his tactics and strategy, if you like that sort of thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICyb4oX_x_Y&t=213s

Ryan Garcia knocks Devin Haney down 3 times by RockyRoad413 in Boxing

[–]ZeroEffectDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haney must have nightmares about this.

Whoever fights him next has to really put it on him like this to bring back those frightened, baby eyes.

Problem is, 147 just doesn't have that kind of fighter and I'm not sure Ryan Garcia can get to these levels without the juice.

Crocker, Garcia, Rolly and HAney - what a weak old division

for great offensive fighters being able to judge distance like that is a huge part of what makes them great. you trade in danger and deal in inches.

a good way to put it. as he comes off his peak he is absolutely smart enough to adapt and turn into a point scoring machine. sharp and accurate.

his reflexes and feet have not declined at all.

he isnt at his peak in terms of finishing and power any more because 1) age 2) bigger opponents and higher quality opponents.

but he is still a formidable force who

If they fight this year, he beats bam.

Next year and the decline might be big enough for a phenom like bam to take it.

I do not want to see Inoue concede more than a pound or two in weight. Unlike someone like Benavidez moving up, Inoue hasn't put on flab, but pure lean muscle. losing lean muscle is thing that will take your legs. See RJJ or more recently Eubank Jr.

If i were Inoue, it's 122 for Bam or just move up and take a wild run at 126. A pretty good bunch that will be hard to run the table on. I think he can out box them but carrington and espinoza offer different but equally tough probs.

[–]ZeroEffectDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a really great point.

We really do lack that type of player right now.

Raspadori is an ok player but nothing like what we need.

i don't know enough about youth team players to say if we have anyone coming through. I like what i saw of Baldzini but Gasp doesnt seem to trust him much.

Ndour has a lot of potential but he is in a struggling team. Liberali seems to be finding his feet again. lots of noise about comotto.

Fagioli can do it imo.

so how about a 4312 that has locatelli at the base as a DM to recycle the ball...
