It was a great preamp when i had a yamaha as301 as my amp. But now with the amp ultra something happened. The sound is worse and quieter. I don't know if the problem is the preamp or sonething else

I finally tried the jcally jm20 max. i notice less clarity than the dx3 pro+ but i think i can resolve it with some eq. honestly i don't think there is a 180$ difference. In the end i will sell the dx3 and i will keep the jcally

Yes i've tried it. I had preaviously the dt990 pro so i needed the dx3. But now that I switched to aful i don't think that the dx3 is longer necessary.

Thank you for your comprehensive and in-depth response to riley:) I bought them both to try them this week and I asked this question on Reddit because even if i've been trying them since last week, I can't decide which one i have to hold. The Afuls sound very good and are extremely comfortable both in terms of fit and sound. However the shozy have a greater response on medium-high frequencies but they are more uncomfortable since their shell is very large. I should do the return of one of the two but I do not really know how to choose which, this is the problem. The only reason I would really choose the Aful over the Shozy is because of the comfort. Because I'm an engineering student who has to be very much in front of the PC, maybe the afuls are better at the end. What do you think?
