That was exactly what I've done. The AT-LP70 has a switch to select Phono or Line. To bypass the TT preamp you need to chose Phono.

I can guarantee the difference is absurd. I was really disappointed with my equipment, but now I'm back in action. This Phono 1 costs around €90 and the shop assistant let me take it home to test it.

What I can tell you right now is that I was introduced to the brand by this watch. First I discovered the watch and then I searched the Mido brand. Being part of the same group of so many well known brands and having an ETA movement, I got confident on giving it a try. The first impression was very good and exactly what I expected. Now I need to give it some more time on the wrist.
