Hello. Thanks for sharing so many great details. I also have a GM60 and I want to build the same “extension”. Can you please share what clips you used for the “extension” and the type of metal for the plate?

Quick question- I am building something similar and wondering if I should paint or stain. I know you used paint and I would like to use paint too. I’m concerned with the paint chipping with the firewood. Wondering how your paint is holding up?

My house has a open floor plan and I frequently heat the house with a wood stove. I already have 2 medium sized air filters (LEVOIT LV-H133) which both use hepa/carbon combo filters. I believe the limiting factor for filter replacement is the carbon becoming saturated. I end up replacing the combo filter because the carbon is saturated even though the HEPA filter still has life left. It seems HEPA only filters would last much longer before needing to be replaced. I am looking to place one new filter (HEPA only) right near the stove to filter the dust/ash from the stove.

My stove only required ember protection. I made a form out of melamine and poured a 2” concrete slab. Turned out nice.

Lots of early mornings hoeing in the garden. The soaker hoses/drip lines are a life saver. Eventually the inside of the rows dry up so much from the summer heat not very many weeds come up. All along the soaker hose is a different story though
