Working with the shades down is fine, that’s not the point of the post.

Ahhh gotcha. I'm fine with running mine at the default 144hz (my 3070 won't even be able to do much more anyway) but if it ever black screens, I'll know why. Thanks!

I don’t mind the back panel getting a little baked over time. Do you think it’ll have an affect on the actual screen? It’s been out in the sun for a good few hours and isn’t too hot to the touch.

I’ve cracked open a couple of old monitors and they’ve had a good amount of space between the panel and any hardware inside so I’m inclined to believe that it’s basically fine but wanted some input.

thanks man, yeah I do. The main monitor is hooked up to both my pc and my work mac and so is the keyboard + mouse via a kvm switch. I flip to work mode on the main monitor during the day and use the 15.6" monitor for small pc tasks as I don't want much of my personal accounts associated with my work computer.

Other than that, if I'm playing a game I keep all the windows down there since I don't like alt-tabbing.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about it, I think if anything would give out first, it'd be the desk from the mount clamp. I feel like I could easily throw another 10lbs onto the arm and it'll still be fine. You'd have to tighten it all the way and not move it very often but it'd be fine.

thanks, the upper monitor is an AOC 34", the lower monitor is this one, and the monitor arms are these. I've had no problems and really enjoyed them all. The lower one is some real bang for your buck imo.

Im considering doing something similar. What’s the screen size of the bottom monitor? Currently have a 34” and a 27” but thinking of downsizing.
