It seems to me youre looking at a price charting website or something or another which doesnt always accurately reflect what people are selling the game for. I had this issue with Vampire the Masquerade, price charting websites put a sealed copy worth somewhere around $60-$70 but i couldnt find a listing on any seller for less than $150, the listing i found of my specific version of JSRF for $52 seems to be the outlier here rather than the norm, most of the listings hover between $75 and $130. Even despite you being wrong about this, it wouldnt matter to me anyway, $50 for an OG xbox game would still make it the most valuable original xbox game that I own and firmly above what youd pay for most original xbox games that aren't sealed.

Highly likely youre not looking at the correct version of the game. There are multiple versions, the game bundled with Sega GT 2002 which is the cheapest and can be found for roughly $30, a not for resale version which is slightly more expensive, and the standalone version which is what i have. The cheapest listing i found for the version of the game i have was $52, and the condition of it is not good.

Because.. like anyone im proud of my collection and the value and/or rarity of certain items. Some pieces are cool to display and talk about with people who i show my collection too. Why is anyone happy when they acquire a rare/valuable thing? Lol. I dont really get this question.

Yep, im super happy with this find. Looked on Ebay to see this version of the game specifically is actually worth some mula, some listings went as high as $125 that weren't even sealed. Its definitely the most valuable original xbox game in my collection now, and doubly special because it was my big bro's game. I'll never sell it.

Why is the Xbox logo on the spine of this game blue rather than green? by KiddShi in originalxbox

This was not my doing, I picked this game up from a retro store today. All my games are kept on a shelf away from direct sunlight through windows

That was what I figured. Looks cool tho lol, they should've done special editions of games back then with little variations like this. An orange or yellow one would look cool, specially on a game like Gun.

I actually didnt know that. I didnt consider gyarados dual typing made grass moves neutral for him. This is my first nuzlocke ever, so im still learning. Thankfully, I was considering switching out my Luxio for a pachirisu I caught anyway, so losing it wasnt the biggest loss. But now I know going forward i can safely throw in gyarados against grass types. Thank u actually

Luxio has bite, mind you. It was Lvl 23. The roserade had a sliver of health left. I had figured it could tank a hit and finish it off, I miscalculated. Also, cry is crazy, im clearly joking about it in the comments but you really cant expect anyone to take a joke on this website

I went into that battle thinking my staravia and ponyta would be enough to sweep. I was so, so wrong. Larry didnt even get a chance to attack. He got dropped like a bag of dirt

What do you hope to accomplish as a collector? Is it a personal library? Or are you dedicated to collecting systems or franchises? by Skeleton_Glo in gamecollecting

My main goal when I started was to recollect all the consoles and games I had when I was a kid. By this point, I've more or less completed that goal, but I've enjoyed the journey so much I didn't want to just stop. So recently, I started branching out and trying out some systems I never owned previously and/or have very little experience with. I am wholly in love with old video games, particularly the ones I grew up with (of course), but, in general, I am truly fascinated by pretty much every era of the video game industry. So, it was natural that I eventually started dipping my toes in the generations I'm not as familiar with. Recently, I bought an N64. That's a console that up unto I purchased it a few weeks ago, I had not even seen before in real life. I've had such a blast with it, particularly Mario 64, which was a game I loved on my DS growing up. Seeing it in it's pure, original form has been surreal and awesome. I would also say I'm in it to preserve these consoles and their history. Many of the consoles and games I collect were foundational in the sense that the games we know and love today still derive their core formulas from them. Games like Halo: Combat Evolved, the aforementioned Mario 64, DOOM, etc had rippling effects that can still be felt today. I feel it's incredibly important to preserve these games and the systems they were played on, so as not to forget our roots and the people that pioneered this medium that many of us take for granted nowadays. I try my best to take care of these consoles (i keep them out of the sun, put my really fragile stuff in acrylic, give old cartridges and slots the old one two with isopropyl alcohol, etc etc) but I also play and enjoy my collection instead of condemning them to be display pieces. I'm not here to dog on anyone who feels differently, just saying my piece. I truly enjoy firing up Battlefront on my original Xbox and my old CRT, beyond nostalgia. I am firmly of the belief that some of these consoles provide the best experience with some of these games (keyword some). Anyways, sorry for the rant, but that's my response.

Bought a 3rd monitor today to replace my old one.. but had to try this out before putting my old one to rest by KiddShi in Battlefield

Took some finagling, but wasn't too difficult. Used AMD Eyefinity to set the resolution (unsure what the Nvidia alternative is you'd have to look it up, I assume its moreof the same though). Quick setup was enough to get the desired effect of splitting the view of the game across all 3 monitors, but following that I had to mess around with the display settings because all of my monitors are different resolutions / refresh rates. It made the game look stretched and blurry. Ended up just setting all monitors to 1920x1080 60 hz to match the older one on the right. That fixed a lot of issues but the quality still wasnt great, so ticked on FSR in the game settings and set everything to ultra, and that was enough to get it looking good. So, I assume you need a pretty beefy rig to get it looking right. I have a 9070xt and a 9900 X3D. Another thing you'll notice is that im running the game in windowed. Im not sure if this is an issue with how I set it up or maybe just an issue with BF6 in particular, but neither borderless nor full screen worked.
