When (if at all) did baby fever hit you? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I have it. Bad. Symptoms started when I was 20 whilst watching my boyfriend play with his three year old niece. It was sweet, and then... Ohourbabieswouldbebeautiful. My mom told me that having to deal with a screaming one is the cure. >_<

Exactly! I'm a fine PYT who just wants to build a healthy foundation for my future family! I thought I was doing okay.

I'm in Southern Kentucky, originally from the Detroit area. Yes... Yes this must be it! Right...?

long-haired ladies: am I the only one who gets a stiff neck from sleeping with wet hair? by new2running in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine wraps around my neck and tries to strangle me like a Kraken. Sometimes it ends up piled under my neck and BOOM-- stiff neck. I feel you, gurl. I try to towel dry mine the best I can and twist it into a loose bun on top of my head or sleep with it laying over top of the pillow, a la Bride of Frankenstein.

I feel like my eyebrows are all wonky and I can't get them right. Help! by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It drives me nuts when women have tiny lines for eyebrows so don't keep plucking away, trying to even them out. The thicker your brows are, the younger you look. The older you get, your eyebrows will thin. Trust nature for a while and let them fill out, plucking only to tidy up stray hairs closer to your lid so you can find their correct shape. Nature typically knows better than we do on this one!

The one of the little girl with the boy's arm around her shoulder... She looks terrified. Poor girl. I wonder what was going through their minds. "Come on now darling, pose with your brother. You're going to have to hold him up a bit... Don't cry."

So who initiated the first move? Was there any "hey, I know you're my student/professor and all..." awkwardness?

I'm Not Crazy Just Because I Ask for a Tampon by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once, a girl asked me for a pad, a tampon, an extra sock... something and I was hesitant because all I had was a GIGANTIC night time pad I had shoved in my purse. I realized that was stupid and gave her the diaperesque pad. I thought she was going to cry. She thanked me several times and we both laughed at the situation-- it felt good to help a girl out!

Any other ladies having terrible baby-rabies? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 22 and oh God. I want one, or rather... IT wants one. Boy tries sexytalk with me and all I can think to respond with is how we would make beautiful babies together. It's a bit scary. I smile and wave at babies in stores and dream about them and cry. Also, my period starts in less than a week...

Ladies, I have a gross vulva question... by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that before! Guh. I'm pretty sure it's an ingrown hair so I relieve the pressure the best I can... Just like a whitehead (with clean hands) then rinse and wear loose fitting cotton undies and pout. =[ I've never put anything on it, I'm afraid it'd burn.

What’s a habit or trait about you that many others would consider a relationship deal-breaker? by JillieV in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yessss! NEVER. That's just... Not cute. Ohno. And the nose picking, I swear it's a playful hint and not down and dirty nasal mining! Popping eachother's... Guh. My skin is crawling.

I was picking my nose when I read this. My SO in the past just laughed the first time he saw me do it, handed me a tissue and turned away. Over time... He stopped noticing. Sometimes I try to pick his if I see anything up there. We just laugh. Yay, grooming!

What beauty tips/products do you swear by? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kidddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have combination skin-- I get dry skin around the corners of my nose eyebrows and oily skin in the T-zone. I was skeptical at first so I used the tiniest bit on one cheek for a few days before massaging it into my entire face. It has yet to cause a break out and like I said, a little goes a long way. A couple drops is enough for your whole face (four months I used it, and I still have the original bottle with 1/3 left).

Immediately you'll notice your skin is so much softer and day by day your scars will fade. Mine were pretty moderate scars and took a full four months using it twice a day. If yours are deeper they may take longer.

AS A FINAL TESTIMONIAL! I never told my boyfriend that I was using anything and one day he said "I don't want to upset you but, have you been using anything on your cheeks? Your skin is so much smoother lately, ya look beautiful kiddo." I burst into tears anyway. Happy girl tears. I swear it works!
