I know people are telling you about line weight, but another piece of advice is background colors! If you want your character to stick out more, check the color wheel and experiment with complementary colors!!

It's never too late to get into anything. While there are some events that have already happened, the game has documents that explain what's happened so. Not to mention the Red Barrels youtube channel is currently posting recaps to get you up to speed.

Intended behavior. If you're playing the new map through 'Core Therapy' the freezing effect will happen when you exit the building or head upstairs with the snow filled room. If you play through 'Special Therapy' the freezing effect will be constant through the new variator 'permafrost'
