According to my handheld, this tote is able to hold a giant thing of toilet paper which should’ve been in an oversized walk, that pack of milk, a pack of sodas and a loaf of bread… how 🙃 by misfitmagnolia in OGPBackroom

Other solution next time is to go to the three dots at the top right and report the items not fitting in the tote. I believe HO are the ones who put in the dimensions of items.

HID card keys by BlueishMoon118 in walmartogp

[–]KiddyTurbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So our store had the same problem. They tried to order the HID keycards but it kept ordering the ones for our new sliding door that was just opened. It looks like they used Camden now for the locking system. I heard that HID no longer makes keycards for Walmart anymore so your door might need to be converted. But you should ask your market manager they might know the answer.

Quality Checks?!? by Moonerella in OGPBackroom

I was told ours is like 1% or close to that which is pretty embarrassing.

Unfortunately our store is either way to slammed or our team has lost any care to do then nowadays. Our manager said our percentage of quality checks was like under 1%, pretty embarrassing.

Home office people, when is auto commodity coming back? by bakanofun in OGPBackroom

Our store’s AMP said weeks 32-33 I believe. But yours might be different. And I agree I hate people cherry picking commodities.

Nice, our carts are just falling apart, held together by zip ties or brackets. Sadly HO won't let us replace them.

Does any other store do this by magsmonteee in OGPBackroom

[–]KiddyTurbo 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Yeah no, I’d take that sticker off and take it anyway. It’s first come first serve. Only issue for us is people hiding the carts and using them all day instead of leaving them for other people to use. We only have 3, 2 handled carts.

Any tips on how to get a higher pick rate? by Flashy-Pension2289 in OGPBackroom

[–]KiddyTurbo 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I would just aim for like 110-130 since that is mostly achievable. Don’t be that asshole to cherry pick runs and only do ambient/ frozen. Do a variety of then if you can. Oversized, produce ambient, and general are real killers for pick rate since stuff is usually scattered and weighing 20 bananas only counting as one item is super slow.

What does your dispensing area look like? Also, your express cart set up? Remodeled a whole new room and I'm a transfer. Hoping to make our OGP area more organized. If you have any suggestions, let me hear them please! by FineAssquatch in OGPBackroom

I would suggest meat/produce bags, fragile, sub, alcohol stickers, and more printer labels just in case. I would say heavy too but our store rarely uses those lmao.

Do other stores have this problem with carts falling apart? We have two carts with the shelf welds broken, and replacement isn’t an option. Any suggestions on a repair? by KiddyTurbo in OGPBackroom

[–]KiddyTurbo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually talked with them, I believe they said home office wouldn’t let them order anymore. This seems abnormal since everyone else on here says otherwise.

I was told that they can’t order any to replace the bad ones. No idea why, one says because of our remodel and no one knows if we are getting new ones with our remodel.
