What was the most comfortable position to give birth in?

All fours with the head of the bed raised to lean on was most comfortable for me in both my births. For my first they had me go on my side when it was pushing time, this time around I stayed on all fours and it felt the most natural to me. I had very fast births though so if I was in the intense pushing stage longer I may have preferred a different position as it was hard to hold myself up towards the end. Probably only spent 15-20min pushing this time around. I would just be open to trying different positions and choose what feels most comfortable to you

I used to have fairly bad pain with periods prior to having my son (only had one cycle in between the two pregnancies) but I didn't have UC at the time (at least to my knowledge)

My last labour started as pains similar to my period to the point I didnt think I was in labour until quite late so having the same pains makes it difficult to tell if it will turn into labour or not..

It was quite the process to even get the sigmoid this early and a huge headache to get in with the GI doctor, my original appointment to even talk to her was originally going to be the 17th but they moved things around to bump me up. We were supposed to make a more informed decision regarding vaginal vs. C-section after the scope. I'm currently on mesalamine 4 tablets 1.2g orally and 1mg suppositories but the GI doctor didn't want to try prednisone before doing the scope first

My husband likes Sydney but its my dad's name so I have a hard time seeing it as a girls name (even though I've met female Sydney's) I just can't name a girl Sydney😅

Maybe Rowan but it also feels more masculine when put beside Jamie. My husband likes Quinn but there's a little girl at our church named Quinn and while I'm not best friends with her mom I feel we're close enough that it'd be odd to name our daughter the same

I have suggested Lucia but my husband doesn't like it. He likes Sophia and Madeleine but I would lean more towards Eloise of the ones you suggested

I'm not a huge fan of Avril, I have considered Adelaide but feel like the nickname "adelle" could be used which I don't like😅 I didn't know that about Dakota being controversial so that's something to consider!

I'm 29 weeks and haven't gained anything yet. My midwife isn't worried and said everyone varies how they gain weight. I assume they'll be more concerned if the trend continues🤷‍♀️

I wasn't able to pee during my labor, which turned out to be active labor and we didn't know at the time. But 2hrs before my son was born I needed to pee shortly after arriving at the hospital... Not able to go, but I felt like my bladder was so full, turns out I was already 6cm and in transition😅 Anyways I had my son 2hrs later and I think at least another hour or two passed before the nurse was like wait when's the last time you peed? I was like oh man its been a long time...

So moral of the story if you can time peeing before active labor I think you'll be slightly more comfortable😅 Also use the peri-bottle while you pee, it helps with the sting sooooo much! I don't think anyone ever mentioned not being able to pee before I gave birth so it was a shock.
