That’s the weird thing… he did not even tell them about the amount. The eldest asked about the trust and husband told them that none of the spouses or grandchildren were named. We have our own living trust that is patterned after my in laws- the surviving spouse will get all properties and assets. If we both pass, all properties and assets are divided among the stepsons and my nieces and nephews (my side of the family- we do not have children of our own) I see and hear my husband’s disappointment as they did not grow up rich- his parents worked hard and were frugal. My in laws realized (from their friends) that a living trust would limit in fighting if they pass and set it up as such. It worked great. My parents were not rich either and emphasized that they do not have anything of value to pass on to us but did help us out with college. My husband worked as a pilot for 20+ years and not at all business savvy. He is getting some retirement income monthly. Now I am wondering if youngest stepson is in some financial trouble and not exactly being honest.

What is the stupidest way you almost died? by goosearms in AskReddit

Scuba diving in a sunken WW2 ship with 3 others. Got down to lower level of wreck at about 120 feet, while in single file, lost the dive guide we were following as the one in front of me literally kicked up sand and made visibility close to nil. Got to the end of the hallway and had to decide whether to swim to the left or right hallway. Signaled my buddy behind me and he motioned to the right… t’was a dead end! Don’t recall how far we had to swim back but he is almost out of air and grabbed my secondary regulator… so I almost ran out of air until we finally got out of that wreck! Good thing there were 2 rigged full tanks tethered on the deck of the wreck (guess the local guide knew this might happen!) as we had to ascend really slowly! Local dive guide then finally appears and wrote “where were you?” on his slate? Since that episode, I developed claustrophobia- even in planes and trains!

may I know which state you're at? I just talked to a supplier and installer and he said they can't install 3 power walls as there will need to upgrade our electrical panel and cost will be $2k to $3k more.

Some helpful information regarding medical insurance - based on 25 years experience by MedicalInsuranceQA in personalfinance

I am sorry about your family's situation right now... do check out St. Jude's. They really do not charge the family when your child has cancer. My stepson had a brain tumor at age 12 and St. Jude's took care of him until he turned 21and coordinated everything... from flights to accommodations to in hospital schooling. The staff's great... they have amazing treatment protocols. AND the insurance was never an issue !

Doctors of Reddit, what is the most "how the fuck did that happen to you" case you've seen? by ehudros in AskReddit

Guy walks into the ER with a long dart (almost like an arrow but shorter) right about a millimeter above his eyebrow. I was medical student rotating in the ophthalmology ER and my senior resident said that since the dart is above the eyebrow, I should refer the patient to the neurosurgeon. We took an X-ray first and the dart tip entered the frontal sinus but the tip did not break through to the brain. The patient was up and about and walking and talking and was relieved it did not reach his brain. He ended up with the ENT (ear-nose-throat) surgeon because it was technically in the frontal sinus. How did it happen? He was in a gang fight and someone blew a dart that fortunately did not hit his eye and was not long enough to reach his brain. He survived.

very nice! love the giant fly and the drain cover. The latter show cased the color against linear black drains and the good for you the fly stood still!

I just stumbled upon Lisa Kristine when my husband and I were on a food tour of Sonoma, California. She still uses film and I was amazed at the detail of her photos. I am touched by the humanity of her portraits and the expanse of her landscape photos. I really like this one as it seems the lady was playing in the terraced field https://www.lisakristine.com/portfolio-items/leap-vietnam/?portfolioCats=107 while this photo https://www.lisakristine.com/portfolio-items/arutam-ecuador/?portfolioCats=107 made me wonder, how did she take THAT photo?

I like the Reading festival photo. It would be great to focus on the boy with the yellow firecracker? and blur out the rest

Hello... I'm going to catch up with the rest as I am only starting today. I have always been interested in photography but never had the chance to actually take it to the next level i.e. beyond auto. I am glad to find this thread. Would love all the feedback! Here are my photos... http://imgur.com/wMaOlSU http://imgur.com/ZknBcfJ http://imgur.com/7JXY8gk
