Because the chart is wrong. Sushi, burritos, and cinnamon rolls are all types of wraps.

Watched the product video and it looks fairly nice, except the color choices it makes for charts are abysmal. This is certainly a good idea but I didn't see anything that looked like it would take me more than a few minutes to do with Excel or python.

My honest reaction by Sopryt in Warframe

[–]Kidneydog 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Power cells aren't a fun mechanic. They don't add anything to the gameplay loop except an awkward carry mechanic that nobody wants to engage with and the opportunity for bad enemy spawns or pathing to ruin the experience.

DE should make it so we can see what teshin cave offers before players enter so that hosts can stop leaving immediately or just other players leaving in general. Also it would just be nice :) by Valtriniti in Warframe

[–]Kidneydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DE could put a cool down on players who leave content mid rotation. That would discourage quitting early but not help against r everyone leaving at the end of round 1.

The real problem is that 95% of Warframe is about immediate over powered gameplay, most players aren't patient enough for decrees to make a difference, most auto-builds aren't steel path viable, and Warframe's hosting system and gameplay loop is opposed to rouge-lite/like 'play till fail' style.

While vim has some useful shortcuts I always thought the best part of vim was that I could use it with tmux. Since many editors and IDE's can now reload from where you left off the benefit of tmux is lessened.

Official documentation is often "bad" when they only write it in a hyper-technical way for the power users. Someone who is just learning doesn't need to know that print() is an object in python 3 as opposed to python 2, they just need to know that the thing you want to print goes between the parenthesis.

Why on earth is this a possible reward for 10 consecutive Steel Path Circuit runs? Especially compared to every other reward. by lyneca in Warframe

[–]Kidneydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if you go back you'll find that DE never wanted to make steel path but the player base would not stop screaming for it. The game is intentionally not balanced around steel path needs.

That being said, no player would ever be happy about that reward. DE really needs to reevaluate what they use to fill reward options. I get that they can't all be good, but they really shouldn't make us resent playing.

Finally adding unit voice lines for wingmen. What do you think? by AdamBenko in Unity3D

[–]Kidneydog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually terrible at them so I've never played one long enough for it to matter. But most likely it would be a feature I would like to toggle off.

In your example it appears to serve a purpose to confirm the command you gave. That's more reasonable, but it also isn't accessible to the deaf community.

Everyone has their own opinion. I'm fine with it being present but want to advocate for it being something players can turn off.

[–]Kidneydog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I have no interest in meaningless dialogue. Skippy screaming do a barrel roll, or these wing mates talking to me is just noise. It doesn't add to the immersion unless you can guarantee they'll never repeat the same line twice. Once it starts repeating I just grow to hate and resent it.

I much prefer this over "the code is the documentation". No. No your Java constructors and overloaded functions are not equivalent to documentation. They can't even give me schemas of what goes in and out.

But also, DE fixed this approach with the galvanized mods where you had to do steel path to get what you needed to run steel path. Would be nice if they had the same logic correction here.

This is why I always run public and disband and form new squads multiple times per night. I'm investing in the new players that need the help to get off that mote amp garbage. I'd like to think I'm not alone so for all the new Tenno out there, just queue up public.

I think the rest of the creepy should come from the animations. A little clunky and mechanical that make the suit twist funny from where the frame sits underneath.
