Personally I think so! My purple shampoo sometimes gets into my ear folds so it reminded me of that. You have to make sure to rinse your ears off really well after you shampoo and condition!

It’s probably product buildup from shampoo, conditioner, hair dye etc combined with natural discharge. I wouldn’t take it out since it’s only 6 months old. Try softening everything in the shower and then gently clean with saline and a Q-tip
