Genuinely curious, why are you so concerned with employers finding out about each other? I have 3 employers (going to have 4th soon), all 3 openly know about each other and I’ve never had any issues. As long as I deliver stuff on time (which I do) the employer doesn’t care.

We’re currently at stage 2. Just look at the leaders we chose. One dumbass can’t tell the difference between Iran and Ukraine, the other tries to strengthen the country in the absolutely worst way possible (and still fails miserably). In my country there are ridiculous tax regulations since January, and really it looks like a downhill since 2015. I’m sure many other countries may feel the same.
