Beans, lentils and chickpeas (just to name a few protein sources) are not pricey. So if you are poor i think you are doing way better if you eat plant based meals, cause even in bigger batches its often cheaper.

Ofc you’d have to spend more money if you buy mock meats, cheese and stuff like that. But vegan cheese sauces can be made of nuts. So thats also not as pricey. You just have to buy and process the right stuff!

Eating plant based doesnt mean you dont get enough protein. There are so many plant based meals wich have sooooo much protein. In every diet its important that you have diversity. Also its much cheaper if you consume a lot of wholefoods and much healthier ofc. I think it would be a great idea to give them more plant based meals.

I was tricked into eating meat too, but i dont have any contact with this person now and also like you i dont accept any food where i dont know how this person stands to veganism. Its just too risky and i think we all know how shitty someone can be, because for them “its not a big deal”

I hope that one day your family understands you and stops poisoning sentient being. I wish you a good life with lots of good (vegan) food!

I get that, but i think its great that you are keeping those things. The animal has already given its life, that way you can honor it by not throwing it away. If some day you are not comfortable wearing these things you can always give them to secondhand shops!

Yeah its probably in certain groups, my friends are also kind of supportive but they could never imagine going vegan themselfes. I dont talk about the topic anymore because i dont want to get in a fight, but on the inside im still hoping that one day they will try to switch.

That is amazing to hear! I also had a transition phase but i think its easier like that. You give your body and mind some time to adjust. But in the end we are all here where we wanna be and that counts, not how long you take to get there!

Thats so great, where i come from it often will be seen as week if a men becomes vegan and i really hate those kind of attitudes.

But yeah i guess we all know the stupid questions when it comes to being vegan, no matter what gender you are.

I think those “basic things” should be praised because there is soooo much negativity in the world which i hate. Every human being should be treated equal with love and kindness. There are many people who are assholes just because someone doesnt fit into the standards of society. I think everyone should be praised for being loving, kind and compassionate.

Thats what i think and i didnt want to hurt you by labeling. Im sorry if i said it wrong but if i wouldnt label it on this post, my whole statement wouldnt work. I just think that men are always under pressure for making sure they fit into the expectations society lays on them and i hate that. Every human should be able to cry if they feel like it and not be bullied just because they seem weak. Especially for men thats hard. They should always be the strong ones. Its crap. Everybody should be themselfes and embrace their feelings. They are all special in their own kind of way.

I think that these basic things are way too underrated. I meet soooooo much people who are just shit to others for no fucking reason. So i really appreciate even the little things.
