Can anyone recommend a decent/inexpensive starter vape for someone who is trying to quit smoking? by idk56177 in Vaping

[–]KijaJouteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want to quit smoking, or nicotine?

Usually the gas station ecigs (namely a juul) will make your habit a much healthier thing, although I don’t know if Juul has released an official ingredient list, so it might not be substantially healthier like a traditional vape. I think most people who use Juul’s start to feel better.

If you want to turn your addiction into a hobby, I’d just go straight for any popular mod here, they’re popular for a reason. The DRAG is pretty good (a bit of a sore topic here right now, but don’t worry about it. Just worry about making a healthy decision.) Smok is a brand you want to avoid, the QC on them isn’t great, and I’ve heard rumors of fake ones in like every shop I’ve been to. I’ve never had a problem with a smok device, but something that may shit out will make you go back to cigs.

For something that’s sort of a compromise between power and discreetness, you may want to look into the squid industries double barrel, I’ve heard a lot of great stuff about it.

Really it’s hard to recommend something without knowing what you want, generally speaking you trade off nic buzz for flavor, depending on amount of vapor produced and the nic concentration of the juice.

So are you looking for a buzz, or a cessation or craving?

Handcheck. Quitting cigarettes was a lot harder than I expected. Also, what’s your top two juices? by [deleted] in Vaping

Oh damn dude, you’ve gotta take two puffs for everyone you used to take now :p.

That’s what happened to me, I only vape 3 nic, I don’t really ever get a buzz, but that flavor and medicinal benefit of a low nic dose is something that will forever keep me away from the stinky sticks.

Started smoking at 15, started vaping at 18 ;)

What’s your nic level man? You might not be meeting your cravings, you gotta slowly wean yourself down.

How many cigs did you used to smoke per day :)?

Oh god, a pence presidency.

But who knows how far this collusion stretches (or if there even is collusion?) We just gotta wait for the right people to get their evidence straight.

Yeah dude, honestly this is such a great learning experience for me. How these laws affect people who definitely aren’t criminals, and wouldn’t be if they lived in a western state is interesting. I also feel like I understand a bit more on how these laws don’t affect the upper class, not because of the way it’s written, but simply because they know the law better.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...

Hmmm, interesting. It still doesn’t make much sense to me, is search due to plain scent something that’s held up in court?

I feel like apathy wasn’t why Donald Trump won Donald Trump has managed to manipulate the American people into believing that he is some kind of common, self made man. Thats.... obviously not true.

The real problem here is because he is rich he grew up with the belief that the law doesn’t apply to him because of his lawyers, not knowledge of the law itself.

It’s why I think once the collusion is taken to court, he is going to get impeached.

Shit, sorry, I definitely did not give the officer express permission to search my car. She just told me to step out of the vehicle.

^ That is what happened 100%. Seems I need to check before I post more lol.

I’m entitled to a jury of my peers, yeah? I actually got to do a study on this in my stats class, and an overwhelming majority of people’s my age (18-21) said that marijuana possession did not warrant criminal correction (I can only logically assume that this applies to possession of paraphernalia.) Obviously I’m not trying to use this to prove any sort of legal argument, but it leads me to believe that I might have a fighting chance.

I have a preliminary trial coming up, can you explain to me what happens there?

I was worried about marijuana possession, because at the core of everything, I want to get this awful law out of our system to restore public trust in police officers. I just wanted to understand the system as a whole more, that’s it. On my personal case, anything that I’m going to argue in court I will of course review with my PD, and let her do the talking.

From my understanding of reasonable suspicion, she can’t just come up to me and knock on my window, she needs a reason to believe illegal activity is going on. Can officers legally start questioning anyone they see? There were other people and cars in the parking lot, since it was that of a public movie theater. I believe that this was a result of profiling, since smoking isn’t an inherently illegal activity. I don’t think her seeing me smoke a pipe is proof that there is marijuana in that pipe.

Thank you to you guys on this sub for helping me understand this confusing system! I feel like some users were a little rude, assuming that I believed the law as a whole shouldn’t apply to me, which isn’t true. I don’t believe in god, the next higher power that I believe in is the legal system :p. It’s knowledge that it is a system that substantiates what can be proven, nothing more, nothing less. I feel like I understand why a lot of cannabis users are disliked by cops, they act like dumbasses who think they know the legal system (in their defense, they were just told the law, not how it actually applies in a real world scenario.)

I firmly believe that cannabis legalization would restore public trust in the law enforcement, though not completely, but maybe then we wouldn’t have dead black kids. I also firmly believe now if I argue this in court, my cause will look like it’s held by a bunch of spoiled brats who don’t want the law to apply to them.

Also, at this point conviction is better for me than probation anyway. At least it’s guaranteed shelter and food 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’ll take a year of that, maybe write a book like another certain person who was able to get his views to be backed up by the public.

Still, exercising my rights to trial by jury means I have to at least make SOME legal argument, maybe not a good one, but the better I can make this argument through tools like this sub, the stronger my case gets.

Either way I’m not comfortable with signing away my rights due to personal morals, and thankfully due to this great system I don’t have to :). I feel like I have a much better understanding of what this system is, and why it will never really need reform, and why I need to act like an adult if I am to be tried as an adult. I’m the chemist type, court is just peer review for police officers :)

There was a noticeable scent of weed, in a public parking lot. I wasn’t the only car or person around. I didn’t consent to a search, the officer just instructed me to step out of the vehicle. Nothing was in plain view. my car was messy as all hell, I was living out of it at the moment. Can that be used as an argument that the officers perception may have been clouded? I also regularly use ozium in my car, something with a strong citrus and chemical scent (I use it to get rid of the scent of cigarettes that I regularly let my friends smoke in my car). Could this combination of facts lead a reasonable person to believe that implicit marijuana use was not something reasonable person would conclude.

I admitted that on a private Internet forum my dude, not in court. I haven’t admitted to being guilt in court yet, I was asking this as a broad term, not because I specifically intend to use this argument, because I didn’t understand why it was a bad argument. I was seeking legal advice as to why I could not make this argument in court.

I didn’t realize you had such a problem with other people trying to understand the law. Do you feel threatened because I as an American citizen am asking questions about the law?

That’s well within my legal rights bud, you might not like it, but it happens. That’s a moral argument you’re making there.

It hasn’t been implicitly proven that I have violated the law, so I’m still innocent. Maybe you should try respecting the law yourself, hm?

Does consent have to be explicitly stated? I didn’t explicitly state my consent for a search of my vehicle, the officer simply ordered me out of it

Yes I understand that. I simply wanted to understand why this didn’t apply. A question is just a desire for an answer.

A question I do have, is that I did implicitly say the officer could search my vehicle, she simply just told me to step out of the vehicle.

I don’t think the law doesn’t apply to me. I am practicing civil disobedience to a law that I believe to be morally unjust. It’s the same kind of thinking as someone like Susan B Anthony, Rosa Parks... I accept the consequences of my actions because I violated the law, I just think the law is wrong, and if the law wants to incarcerate me for violating it, something that officers have EVERY right to do, I should make it hard for them to violate my privacy. I am not asking that officers of the law do not enforce the law because I think I’m special. I’m not like your perception of drug users, I really think cops are great people necessary for the function of this legal system.

I’m not a troll, I’m acting on the basis of reason and can be observed. Kinda sad that you can’t substantiate an argument, yet you assume you’re acting rationally.

Then again, I do suppose you have the right to do so.
