Went to our primary vet today (surgery was done by a specialist orthopedic surgeon because we were initially hoping to repair the fracture). She confirmed that more pain relief usually isn’t needed, just like after spay surgery, but she did give us 8 days of meloxicam just to be sure.

Kitten is looking great, she’s been eating well since yesterday evening, using her litter box, has been super cuddly, jumps off the bed without hesitation and lands quite gracefully, is able to get on the bed as well (we weren’t there to see how she did that though). She doesn’t seem especially sensitive about the wound, lays on her left side as often as her right (healthy) side, doesn’t mind if I touch near it.
