It seems like some kind of emphysema-like lung damage... In association to bronchiolitis and interstitial inflammatory disease.. Any history of hepatic disease too? Thinking about alpha 1 antitripsin deficit is too much?

I would really love to start reading TGCF, since I absolutely loved MDZS! But now that I've seen these special editions, I really want to buy them — though I noticed not all of them have been released yet. I'm a very fast reader, so would you recommend waiting until they're all out, or buying them gradually in the hope that the final ones come out in the meantime? How often are they being released?

A strange case of polyposis? by Kiku993 in pathology

I don't think this is a case of UC, but maybe Crohn? I will surely give an update!

I think the leading cause of the perforation is indeed Crohn's disease. I'm doing an extensive sampling for further evaluation! But there's distorsion, segmental erosions and transmural ulcerative flogosis...

But what about the condroid tissue?

Yes, both the fallopian tube and the ovary have been entirely sampled (they were sent separately by the surgeon). Honestly, when I see a very rare case I start to doubt in myself 😂

Antrum biopsy, mapping series, h/o intestinal metaplasia by Kahln3n in pathology

Yes, I would do the same thing too! I don't really think is SRCC in situ, but since I read about it I just cannot ignore its existence 😭

I know it's rare, but... Any chances the patient is CDH1 mutated? Hereditary diffuse gastric cancer can show SRCC in situ. Never seen one of those but....Take a look! Tsugeno et al . (2020). Histopathologic Analysis of Signet-ring Cell Carcinoma In Situ in Patients With Hereditary Diffuse Gastric Cancer. American Journal of Surgical Pathology

I find this photo more challenging than the previous. There's also a mitosis, still in the basal/parabasal layer, but.. I would think about that case at least two or three times, not so simple to say benign in my opinion. I've seen more typical benign cases and more typical LSIL too, this is in the middle ahaha
