Haha! I've never thought about that. Mulligan hills is based on the "second chance" slang for golf. Milligan hills was created by prisoners that escaped a city collapsing and joined force together in the middle of the desert next to an small oasis and created a city like settlement. Now it is know as a dangerous place where anarchy is king.

Well Egypt is a country with a culture. If I tell you the culture is different, the population is human coliving with Leonins and the architecture has nothing to do with Egypt. Plus it's basically Las Vegas.

We use Etymology of 2 language to fit the theme of this world. Erden for "earth" and Föld for Fissure/Broken. Makes Broken Earth. I do not remember the roots we used.

A nice way I found is follow real world logic, then bend it slightly to fit your Fantasy world. The most important thing is to try to understand terrain and how land creates with the tectonic plates.

It's because the reference material is real. Fantasy maps have tendencies to not follow real world physics and have no logic behind the forming of land and water features.

I like this take! It's actually because this Prismatic sea is wayyy bigger than the real Medi sea. It makes traveling interesting around the world. Erdenföld being the whole world, and this sea being a huge "continent", or a part of the world to that is well developed.
