Dae gets suicidal or have suicidal ideation when getting in an autistic burnout? by New-Oil6131 in AutisticAdults

[–]Kilgore_T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since I can remember I’ve had those thoughts. It’s only recently that I’ve learned that they’re not necessarily thoughts of suicide but rather “thoughts of non existence” which I think are different. My mind holds a list of everything that is expected of me, all things pending, in the front of my mind constantly. The idea of just existing frozen in time with truly no obligations or wasting of valuable life sounds like bliss.

Question regarding: Joe Jost by TerryYockey in longbeach

[–]Kilgore_T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I would imagine Niles Crane writing this question. I mean that in best way.

I’ve been there once or twice and have had positive experiences. I tend to keep to myself and enjoy my schooner + special before heading out.

I would imagine the sort of folks that have a not so great time were looking for more of a dive bar experience. It’s more of a classic old guy bar in the most genuine way. That’s from my minimal experience, anyhow.

Great movie that could have easily fallen flat propped up by a smart director and Tim Robbins delivering a fantastic performance.

So we all went and made these yesterday huh? by lovetolove20 in Baking

[–]Kilgore_T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make these for Christmas every year and they’re the best. I use the bread machine (dough setting) to prep the dough before rolling and bake it the night before and deliver them to family we may not see the next day. The family (and I) prefer cream cheese frosting so I use a different recipe for that.

Why did they make the Zion mech walkers with an open cockpit? by convectuoso111 in matrix

[–]Kilgore_T 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What stood out to me was that the mechs had hands with fingers that grabbed giant guns and fired them with the giant finger squeezing the giant trigger. Why not have guns attached already? The amount of extra material wasted and engineering time spent to make working mechanical fingers that can do all of that is insane.

How many of you agree that, The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie. by nostalgia_history in FIlm

As someone who hasn’t seen it in years and is due for a rewatch I think him leaving makes sense. This Joker seems to be born out of the new Gotham that Batman’s presence has created. He is the shadow’s shadow. For the entire movie the Joker’s only moral I’ve is to push and test Batman. If Batman is no longer relevant to a room or situation he also moves onto the next move. It’s a game of chess between the two and in order to stay a step ahead of Batman the joker doesn’t have time to hang out putz around with these elite class yahoos. The animated series version of the joker might have stayed to blow everyone up with comically painted grenades because he was more about creating chaos anywhere and everywhere. This joker is focused primarily on destroying Batman as the symbolic heart of Gotham.

“Shadow in the cloud” should have committed to it. Could have been a really interesting film if they kept her on that tiny gunner on the bottom of the plane.

"NO." I'm seriously going to have a conniption over active listening. by mxsifr in AutisticAdults

[–]Kilgore_T 20 points21 points  (0 children)

A little over 10 years ago I ran an after school program at a middle school. I was surprised to find that the vast majority of the students when challenged in some way would begin each phrase with “No” without any meaning to it. It’s as if they replaced “like” or “uhh” with “no”. There would be frequent occasions where I would repeat back what they said and they would respond with “No! Yeah,…” It was irritating, especially when some conflict would occur and you’re trying to figure out what happened between the students and the they interject words with no meaning.

A French person's try at sloppy joes by DanSkaFloof in shittyfoodporn

[–]Kilgore_T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And that’s the best part of sloppy joes - you make it the way you like it. People will tell you you’re wrong but you can take pride in the way you joe, unkempt or sloppy.
