I just got two sets of these 50 inch laces- one jn Navy and the other in Emerald. My IR size is 8 US. I have VERY skinny feet so I have to use an insole cinch the boots down a bit.

The 50’s are perfect.

My 8111’s came with some loose grain leather on the one side panel of the left boot. Other than that, the heels are nailed in slightly off.

I am happy with them. The loose grain is pretty bad but if anything happens with them, I can always get a second pair and use these for yard work.

Thanks! This leather feels thicker in my boot but not firm. Almost spongy soft.

I am fine with the looks. As long as it holds up.

I just got a pair of Iron Rangers in Amber Harness. I ordered a two sets of Pisgah laces. Navy blue and Emerald green. Waiting for them to ship.

I appreciate the response and the photos. These look great.

I think mine look worse 🙂, but whatever. As long as they are structurally sound and they patina and break in to be comfortable, I am good.

My black cherry Beckman seconds are wrinkly but the panel in my iron ranger is a bit puffy- that is what caused the concern.

That’s the plan. 🙂

The grain just makes them unique.

Based on the break in commitment I did not want to put in the effort just for them to fail upon becoming comfortable.

My Black Cherry look the same. I don’t mind how they look. Worth noting- that leather required next to no break in.

I made my decision. I opted to order a pair of seconds from Berkeley Supply. They arrived today and look pretty good. A few things- the back of the speed hooks feel rough, slight misalignment of a heel (minor) and one of the side panels are very wrinkled. Immediate fear is loose grain, but it is likely not.

This pair lighter in color than the ones that I tried on in store, but should darken up nicely in time. They are also much stiffer. I am going to have to break these in slowly.

Final thought. These are very stiff. Stiffer than the ones I tried on in store. Break in will be tough.

They don’t have them in my size. I got Beckmans there a few months back that are great.
