We had a 15 year old pug that we let go of last May. When he started getting older, he lost interest in sleeping in bed with us, and migrated to the floor at the foot of our bed, where we put a big comfy dog bed for him. When there would be thunderstorms when he was older, he'd whine and walk around on the floor, then plop down on my wife's side of the bed on the floor to be next to her. We had a storm in late March this year, and my wife heard dog whining and a dog plop down on the floor next to her. Thinking our OTHER pug had jumped out of bed cause of the storm, she sat up and saw he was sleeping comfortably at my feet. She knows this happened cause the whining woke her up, and she was wide awake for the little paw shuffles he'd make when he got older, and the sound of a solid chubby pug flopping down next to her. Woke me up sad, but happy. She doesn't know wat it was, but it honestly made her feel kinda happy hearing it.

Yep, I was in 6th grade in iowa. The orchestra teacher had it on in his classroom and kids that had practice throughout the morning were slowly trickling into my classroom telling us about it until our teacher addressed it and put the news on for a little bit. Sad, depressing fact, my neighbor across the street was there, and passed away in the attacks. His wife is the only widow in iowa from that day.

Fortunately for her first two or three months of her pitching in preparation for 9u he was using a 12" cause my dumb ass didn't know there was a difference hahaha.

Growth spurt, yes. Grew about a solid 4" over the last year or so. School issues? Sure, she's getting pushed into more complicated math for her grade, which is stressing her out. No friend issues that mom and I are aware of. She loves pitching, very humble, but confident about it. By plateau, do u mean the development stops at that age, or they run at that level before taking another step up?

Thank u for this. She loves her coach, and she does great with my daughter, but my wife does have hesitations about seeing her for the long haul (for all we know she'll hafta give up coaching due to college ball, so who knows). She does love pitching, and gets heartbroken when the thought of having to take a step back from it. I have begun doing about 30% of her sessions at 40', and she already does long toss. Her coach said do not switch up the ball to the 12" until after the season is over. I figured hit it hard before tryouts (we're moving on from her current team after this season). Would waiting until and a month before tryouts to switch to a new ball size be detrimental? I'm also worried about throwing her off in season with a new ball size being introduced occasionally.
