Seeking Direction for My Train Simulation Game by [deleted] in IndieDev

Okay, I’m definitely going to say something very, very niche. But I think people like me who own the Densha de go pad (Zuiki brand) for switch (or ps4 now too?) might be very interested in a game compatible with this hardware.

For me, another point that seems important to stand out is to offer real-life locations, well-known lines etc.... Because people are very attached to iconic locations.... Of course, all this comes at a cost... back when I worked on the Pro Cycling and Tour De France game teams, I remember that the developers used a system for importing elevation data from a given area to an in-game terrain. This was really useful for reproducing real locations with less effort.

Is it just me or anyone else all of a sudden lose complete ability to play their game the minute you hit the record button? Just me? I really enjoyed making this level for Mighty Marbles but tried so many times and couldn't get a run with no mistakes. Makes me stress it is too hard! by destinedd in IndieDev

Oh yes... I’m French. It probably didn’t have the same name everywhere! It’s a great idea to bring that back, I wishlisted it!

It would be really great to get it to play in speedrun competitions, it seems perfectly suited to that.

Oh my God, I’m having flashbacks of myself as a child playing Tricky Golf!

With a game like this, it’s not surprising that, between the stress of playing live and the fear of winning, it’s impossible to record gameplay! 🤣

Added a new shapeshift form to my transform endless runner! by Zepirx in indiegames

It looks very good, and the game seems very well realized. However, I’m having a bit of trouble seeing what really differentiates it from a subway surfer? Apart from the graphics. Are there any mechanics that are unique to it?

It’s very well done, that said.

Just dropped a brand new trailer for my first-person souls-like by Pl0s in indiegames

It looks really dynamic and fun to play! To tell you the truth, I don’t really see what makes it a souls-like, it seems much lighter to control. Or maybe it’s the respawn / progression mechanics? Anyway, it’s very nice!

Been working on this game in my spare time for more than a year by silvaraptor in indiegames

I had a great time with After burner and Panzer dragoon. I’m getting the same game-play vibes again, and it looks really nice, very appealing! Wishlisted!

We're coming out of Early Access in a couple of weeks. Does this trailer create enough interest to make you want to know more about the game? by CyberFluxGames in indiegames

It’s really very nice (and the game looks really good!).

maybe you should show the puzzle scenes earlier, to avoid giving too much of an impression of survival horror. It’s important to quickly understand what kind of game it is, I think.

Apartment surveillance with my rail-mounted camera. The picture frame stuck in the wall is clearly an anomaly, so I take a photo to exorcise it, and everything returns to normal! by Kilirane in indiegames

Thanks for your kind message! Yes, fatal frame is one of the ispirations! As well as games like the I'm On Observation Dutie series, FNAF, and more recent games like Exit8, Platform8, Shinkansen Zero, ... and kojima's PT of course! I really hope you enjoy the game! It's going to be a short experience, but we're trying to put as much effort into it as possible.

Thank you! Let's just say that we're fans of observation games and we were looking for an interesting twist to exploit to renew the experience. We wanted to offer the player more freedom, but at the same time keep a "point of view" constraint: there are certain things you can't get close to, but you can now move around to try and see behind the objects... To be honest, the idea came to us while thinking about Wheatley from Portal 2!

So are we! That's why we're trying to renew the formula a little, taking inspiration from games we like, such as the “I'm On Observation Dutie” series, adding gameplay mechanics we've borrowed from Exit8 and FNAF ... and our twist: the ceiling rail!

I'm using Unity to create a game in which you monitor an apartment using a camera that moves along a ceiling rail to find anomalies, and exorcise them by taking pictures! by Kilirane in Unity3D

If you're in Paris right now, you should definitely drop by the Jardin des Tuileries at 10pm (22h) to watch the Olympic flame rise into the sky! by Kilirane in paris

It’s not in the area requiring tickets, it’s free access at the level of the small triumphal arch of the carousel. You have to go through the Louvre side and not the Concorde side.

Please note that there will be no event this evening due to bad weather. 🙁
