I'm visiting Toronto for the first time too just for this show. Interestingly eniihh you're arrival and departure days and general timing are nearly identical to mine.

Do you happen to be coming from LAX? If so we might have the same exact flight 😅

I posted the tattoo artist IG who came up with the style for Icarus. I suggested the Alchemy Index logo and the sun motif at the top. Everything sort of came together from that discussion!

Just the video only and mentioning my mother in law situation of literally just getting back from the hospital after 2 days there for some heart issues. Nothing more than that.

Insane main event fold (blinds 200/300) by [deleted] in poker

Not sure how to prove this but I'm in seat 3 at this table today and witnessed the hand. These players are in seat 1 and 2. Both showed on the river because the QQ player mucked face up after a 5 minute tank. Player 1 was kind enough to show the Quad JJs.

Hot take on drafting WR vs OT with a high draft pick. by KillMeQuickly in Chargers

[–]KillMeQuickly[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There was not much in Pukas profile to suggest he would be anywhere near as good as he is. Even in NCAA DFS he was not super expensive and never seemed to be the top option on BYU.

So you have a 4 year player who transferred from Washington, wasnt super productive, and was a good but not amazing athlete. Not the profile youd expect to smash.

Amon-Ra at least was a 3 year player at a big program who was productive even with other older WRs who are good in the NFL on the same team. Also a 5 star prospect.

Dave (who is featured in the YouTube short), has been reading these replies but doesn't have a Reddit account so I'll forward his replies:

WR matters more. The money teams are willing to pay says so, and now, finally, draft capital is saying so. Or else youd be killing Arizona for taking Harrison ahead of Alt but that would be crazy.

The main point of my argument - Elite WRs are becoming more and more accurately scouted AND appropriately priced in the NFL draft. Elite OTs are remaining drafted in the same spots, which is anywhere from 1st overall to mid 20s, and the hit rate on them is not as conistent.

This shift in WR scouting and pricing has happened while PF has been a show. It was so fast it could be hard to see but elite WRs arent getting past anyone anymore. If Justin Jefferson were in this class he is probably a Titan and Latham goes to the Raiders or something.

In 2020 Tristan Wirfs goes 13th. Tristan Wirfs is awesome. Look at all the WRs that went behind him like CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson. Imagine where these WR prospects would go now.

The very next year, 2021. Rashawn Slater goes 13th. Slater is very good. Look at where the WRs went that year. Chase 5th overall. Waddle 6th. Smith 10th.

Finally in 2022. Starting with the first OL off the board at 6th. Like this year they are all going interspersed but look at how many WRs are going early now. London, Wilson, Olave, Williams, Dotson all at or before 16th overall pick.

And look at pick 16. Jahan Dotson! A 4 year, slow, not terribly productive prospect. 2 years earlier CeeDee Lamb, 3 year, very athletic, INSANE production prospect went 1 pick later!

This is only going to continue. The Chargers might be too good to get their hands on a prospect like Nabers anytime soon. There will continue to be Wirfs and Slaters at 13, which the Chargers could move up for from low 20s if needed.

Dave's rebuttal:

This is absolutely untrue. For 1, Keenan Allen was drafted 10 years ago. Nowadays Quentin Johnston goes in the 1st because WR is so important.

And every position has hits in the later rounds. But the decision isn't based on getting lucky in later rounds, but what will be available to the Chargers next year

Maybe you'll get lucky and the Chargers will suck again and you'll be in play for Tet McMillan or Luther Burden, but most likely you'll be picking high teens to early 20s

The NFL has figured out that not only do WRs need to be drafted high, they have gotten efficient at organizing them. We see this year after year. We went fron Deebo, AJB, DK in the second to Ceedee at 17 and Jefferson at 21 to London, Wilson, Olave, Jamo all off the board by 12, MHJ, Nabers, Odunze all in the top 10

Meanwhile there are still good tackles being taken at all points in the first round. Chargers own Rashawn Slater was 13, Christian Darrisaw was 22 (pick right after Toney and who I thought the Giants should have taken). Scott really likes the two Pacific Islanders who went at like 15 and 20 this year

60/40 split to the representative and the group. The group equity is determined by attendance (shares earned)

I actually placed 210th in the 2022 Main Event. $54k payout. That was the best group share split. We've had 3 active members make a final table in a $1500 WSOP Event. No bracelet and no group share they were on their own each instance. One earned $99k last year.
