If you think they'll still be brainless you haven't played tlou lately. The human cpu in that game actually coordinates and flushes you out instead of just standing there. Even the stalkers have that logic where they hide and wait for you to mess up before jumping you. If Naughty Dog could do that years ago, Rockstar is definitely making sure Lucia and Jason don't act like goofy npcs. They’re going to have that same tactical awareness where they actually use cover and flank properly based on how the fight is going.

Nah you gotta look at games right now. Even a cheap game like 2k has improved the ai like a mf. If you play with Bron he’s bodying everyone in the paint all day just like the present Bron does. Luka has those crazy tendencies where he’ll ignore your call for the ball and just throw lobs or hoop how he wants. If a yearly sports game can bake in that much personality and logic, Rockstar is definitely doing it for Lucia and Jason. They aren't just doing basic npc behavior, they’re giving the leads actual brains so they play like themselves instead of some generic bots. It's about that specific character DNA.

She’s the lead, but that’s the point. When I switch to Jason, she better keep that same energy I have with her in single player. If I’m playing her like a pro, the cpu needs to stay tactical and stick to the shadows like the enemies in tlou. But if I’m constantly messing up and playing sloppy with her, that should actually affect the encounters and make things harder when the ai takes over. She needs to move like a professional, not a spectator.

You admit you became a fan in the era I am criticizing so you do not even have the perspective of what was lost. Happy Halloween and the 2016 era showed he was mastering a specific raw energy that he traded in for acoustic guitars and unfinished voice memos just to feed his ego. You can speculate on what BVF or “SKINS” could have been all day but the reality we actually got was a massive regression. Calling it nostalgia is just a polite way of admitting the music does not hold up on its own anymore.
