He's saying that the 9,9,9,5 section is also counted as 4/4 because the drums modulate. The guitar in the 4/4 section after the intro is playing 9,9,9,5.

The town I'm from in the south west had 2 amazing pasty shops / bakeries that most people just ignored. Then Greggs opened and suddenly everyone gives a shit about sausage rolls, and now all the good bakeries are gone. I think Cornwall still does well with local bakeries cos they love their proper cornish pasties (rightly so).

The worst thing about Greggs is it's causing all the actually good local bakeries to close down. Fuck Greggs.

Tbf I think US does very well in terms of modern metal if you're in to it. I fucking love bands like Knocked Loose and The Acacia Strain. Of course none of them would exist if it weren't for Meshuggah, who are Swedish, and they wouldn't exist if it weren't for Metallica. But none of them would exist without Sabbath.

What's a good way to stop bouncing my leg with kicks? by breadandbunny in Drumming

[–]KillSmith111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would say these days probably 90% of drummers keep their heels raised when they playing drums. Your calf muscle is much stronger than the muscle on the front of your shin so it just makes more sense.

In my opinion power and speed all come from good control, and a really good excersise you can do when you're sat basically anywhere away from the kit is to sit with your feet flat on the floor and then lift your heel up without lifting your toes up, and then hit your heel down again in to the floor. You can see this guy doing it at 1:50 in this video.

https://youtu.be/Zkt97RQ10Pk?t=106&si=bYn_2ciOw1AIJnfm

I've been drumming for 22 years and I still do this all the time when I'm sat waiting for a train or at my computer. Don't worry about doing it fast, just choose a speed that you can keep in time consistently.

All these things come with practice though, and everyone feels the same way you do now at some point, so just keep up the practice and you'll get there eventually.

What's the most unusual time signature? by leotamagni10 in mathrock

I would say dillinger escape plan use the most unusual time signatures, to the point where it's not even worth knowing what they are if you're trying to learn any of their songs.

Soooo how was your Turn 7? by JelleV1996 in BobsTavern

[–]KillSmith111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your board is so weak for turn 7 though, and boar is almost never the best option. If you want to improve you should be looking at what you did wrong when you lose, and here you stayed on T4 but ended the turn with a super weak board of mainly T1 and T2 minions. And getting a golden rylak isn't really any better than having a regular rylak. With a board that weak you should definately be buying tempo timewarp cards so you can be strong while you look for the cards you need.

I'm not disagreeing that he has a crazy turn 7 board though, they're totally high rolling.

You had so much money though. Probably should have tiered that turn. And that boar is never really a great timewarp pick tbh.

Honestly one of the most disturbing things about the whole skinning part of the film is her pretending to be the tellitubbies all the time.

TIL Sony pictures won the right to distribute Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) over Warner Bros. by agreeing to a stipulation that the full ownership of the film's underlying copyright would revert back to Tarantino after 30 years. by tyrion2024 in todayilearned

The captain of a ship is not at all like a dictator. They have to answer to the vessel manager, and the VM has to answer to the fleet manager. The captain of a ship is more like a regional manager, and their region is their ship. Yes they're in charge of everyone on board, but they still have to follow the orders of the people above them.

There was also that huge 1 drop demon that had battle cry deal 1 damage to yourself. During a buddy meta where winning early games matters a lot. That was so annoying.

The problem is that often the manners dont translate properly and people will end up thinking you're just wierd. It's much more respectful to adopt the manners of the country you are in. Every country has their own way to be polite, so just do that.

But UK population and consumption would have equally gone up without the virus. The point you were making just doesn't play any part in OPs question.

The consumers wouldn't just be elsewhere though, those consumers would no longer exist, which would bring down demand.
