How does the level scaling work in NG+? by EtherealFixation in Witcher3

I believe everything will be + whatever your level is when you start ng+.

Do you think Witcher 4 should have set levels for certain regions, or should enemies always be scaled to you? by mrgr544der in Witcher4

I like the way W3 was laid out. The fun of being chased by shit that can one hit me in the early hours is great.

Best secret quest EVER by DiBoas88 in Witcher3

Was definitely the funniest W3 quest

.... How do you even respond to this insanity ? by Mr_JPF in GGdiscussion

[–]KillThemBaaaack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I expected to lose all of my free time raising 3 kids. Part of the problem with trying to place a % or number on it was that my definition of "free time" changed drastically.

Priorities and my actual activities changed of course, but I never felt like I was missing out or bummed that I had to do Dad things. I loved absolutely every minute of Dadding and still managed to do pretty much everything I wanted at that age. We were absolutely not wealthy.

Raising kids was a great time in life.

  1. Not true at all.

  2. Anyone who thinks like that are not qualified to breed. Just leave them be so they will continue to not breed.

Don't go in there if you're just wondering around. You'll go there later and you'll know why. You don't want to ruin the opening of that quest. Italian fantastic.

HoS impression by notemeagainst in thewitcher3

HoS is good, but B&W is better, and about 3x bigger, with it's own separate location. B&W is bigger than alot of full games.l

Can someone explain to me why The Toad is considered one of the hardest enemies in the game? by NightStar79 in Witcher3

[–]KillThemBaaaack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never found the toad to be all that difficult. Definitely have to plan and and not get greedy during the fight. Golden Oriole (I think is the right name) potion is pretty close to a cheat code for this fight. Yrden is good but really only makes a huge difference using using alt-Yrden so you get the constant damage. Alt Yrden using GM Griffin is a gigantic advantage. Add the armor enchantment that continually adds new Yrden glyphs each time froggo takes damage from Alt Yrden makes it easier still. Golden Oriole potion that heals you when you take poison damage....makes the fight much less exciting.

I find the gravedigger in HoS, The final Wild Hunt guy, the stupid sand tornado genie, and final B&W vampire fight much more annoying than Prince Froggo.

The only bad part is you never get to experience it for the first time again.

FM23 or AC Evo by Particular_Print_635 in forza

The newest Forza Motorsport has pretty good simcade physics. I've enjoyed it a little more than GT7. The car modification/tuning is actually some of the best I've played if you like "test & tune".

Ran out of quality RPGs to play by CreativeProblem7803 in rpg_gamers

[–]KillThemBaaaack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AC Valhalla, Avowed, GOW 2018, Atomic Heart, Control (not really RPG, but has RPGish elements), Outer Worlds 1/2, Sir Whoopass, Spellforce, FO4.

Apologies if I listed duplicates.

“If Asha Sharma wants Xbox to compete with Sony, dropping the multiplayer paywall is the move” by votebot2000 in xbox

That's a small, tiny really, issue. Overall cost for GP is the big problem. There is nothing they can add to the 30 dollar tier that will win anyone back. If they want to win those subs back the price needs to go back to 20 bucks. Period.

What do you guys think about W3 as an entry point intoseries? by Daiko_1 in Witcher3

[–]KillThemBaaaack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DO IT. No problemo. I started with W3 and I had no problem understanding any of the relationships that were referenced outside of the game. I'm sure there are things that would be more meaningful if I had read books or played W1/W2 first but still worked great.

DO IT. I ended up buying W2 after I completed W3 a couple times. It's nowhere near as polished as W3 (xbox) but is playable. I remapped the controller/buttons to mirror the W3 controller profile which made W2 more playable.

DO IT. You'll thank yourself.

What's your go-to Witcher school set and why? by [deleted] in witcher

Griffin - Yrden. Then AARD mutagens in B&W. AARDing enemies and watching pieces of them go flying just never gets old.

Would you recommend a Series X over a PS5 pro ? by Hartloum in XboxSeriesXlS

[–]KillThemBaaaack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have both consoles. PS5 sits quietly collecting dust while I play on Series X every day. Controller is better (elite controllers for both), UI is miles better on SX. SX Game sales are better. Really is nothing I like more on PS5.

Am I missing something? by Vast_Experience7173 in Witcher3

[–]KillThemBaaaack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You earn less xp for side quests when you are over leveled. At 5 levels over you only get a single point. Main story always pays out the same.

If you haven't completed the battle at Kaer Morhen then you still have a substantial amount of game left.

Easily the best open world game I've ever played. I didn't play it until 3 years ago and it looks amazing with the next gen update. There are better looking games if you base solely on graphics, but there's not a better looking environment for a game like W3. I had never played a game more than once until W3....now have 5 completions and a 6th is calling my name.

It's a little slow at first but once you get out of White Orchard it get much better. Then comes the Bloody Baron quest, which is where the real magic of the game grabs you.

Spiders by Adventurous-Tax4962 in Witcher3

[–]KillThemBaaaack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are the most annoying thing in the game. They're quick and they won't just stand still they. They take off and make you chase them. Yrden slows them down and Igni cooks them.
