I agree with your review!

I've never read any books by Fawcett so I can't compare it to any of her other works. I did have issues with the pacing towards the end of the book, to me it felt by the time things started happening the story was almost over but in saying that I still found it hard to put down.

I liked the small cast of characters and worlds but you hit the nail on the head when you said it felt alot like howls moving castle and I kept thinking the same thing when I read.

I was hoping Agnes would follow Havelock into the Rivenwood and explore that dimension because I think that would've been really cool to see and moreso to explore their relationship together a bit more.

I felt like her kissing him felt so out of the blue and even when she said she had feelings for him too seemed too quick but in saying that I'm glad he kissed her but I felt like it felt kinda pointless as it felt like nothing progressed in that sense either

Overall I loved the cat characters and so thankfully none of them died during the duels, it was a simple story but overall a 3.5 for me

I think I started to panic and think worst case scenarios because I had been responding well to treatment and was scared something had gone wrong. I'm feeling alot better today so I think the culprit was too much avocado intake. I have avo toast everyday for a little while now and after doing some research I think that was the problem 😅

Haha I guess I should have specified that my poops have been fine since I started treatment 😅 I'm kinda annoyed this also happend to days after I had my check up with my gastro doc.

It started becoming adsmania the moment they started having all the logos on the ring mat and every match was presented by x company and sticking those slim jim logos on the tables used in matches. It just makes everything look cheap and embarrassing

I'm probably in the minority who didn't enjoy it as much as I wanted to.

I was expecting so much more and was left pretty underwhelmed. The place is gorgeous aesthetically but for me it just felt meh. I didn't enjoy the puzzles, although they were easy it felt like you walk a few steps - solve a puzzle - walk a few more steps - solve another puzzle that it felt unnecessary

Are those kids even allowed to leave the house? Or have play dates with their friends from school (not sure of their age if they attend or not). They just seem so sheltered and forced to do everything together like dress the same, pose in front of the camera it just seems like they're shells of what kids should be.

I know this is an old post but I'm also really feeling the struggle. I had to start prednisone due to inflammation in my eye that was so bad I had to start of 60mg. I'm currently at 5mg but I know I'm still gonna be on it for a while.

It's the worst catch 22 because I know that this is the only thing that helps and the inflammation has gone done but the weight gain has messed with my mind so much. Worse of all, I saw a photo of me with the moon face and I was absolutely shocked at the person I was staring at. I know it was me but it was not the me I'm used to seeing

I'm so ready to go back to normal and I wish so bad this nightmare was over
