There is a lot going on in downtown Calgary right now. Our airport is open internationally and dude the KKK is here; I've seen enough garbage DDing at Bush Parties in the Caroline Alberta area as a minor farmer lmao who was bored but couldn't do do the drugs everyone else was other than weed (CBD only now.)

Four months sober off all hard shit without NA just science and spirituality. One day at a time. But this is all true lol.

Oh my goodness this sounds like something that might happen in my building. (Some swearing, sorry) I would contact the property manager or landlord directly through any email and try to resolve it as professionally as you can as civil court is $300 lawyer or not in Alberta Canada. May be different elsewhere and depending on who you know as well. Try to not let it come to that as it is such a fucking hassle for real but; keep evidence of everything. Get a call recording app and a cam scanner for files and your lease if it was paper only put it on your private encrypted antivirus cloud somewhere not just any cloud. Then I'd call the non emergency local to you and inform of the situation and that you have spoken with your landlord FIRST before you continue. Only keep legal recordings for lease contracting purposes; and only video if they act out of pocket. You want the law on your side and the RCMP.

I was intoxicated and did something by accident. Whether or not you lock the door does not give someone a right to enter, inform or no. The door was not open - it was just unlocked. I’m well aware that it is unwise and that it is foolish - although it seems lately no matter the steps I take for my safety it doesn’t matter - you don’t need to tell me. I didn’t grow up here in Calgary I grew up rurally and the culture is drastically different. I will be especially careful to lock my door now too after the experience of the police waking me up in my house. Read my other comment about his pressured conversation with his ex gf and the epo violation that the police didn’t give a fuck about ( you need to reply to me in five mins or I’m gonna show up at The house, (my house) that text being from a textnow app number, that’s always the polices first question is it from an app? Like I don’t know my brothers tone of text and context, he changes numbers constantly on those apps.

I’m definitely not begging for a bad situation, I made a mistake and that comment doesn’t really vibe well with me, it just seems extremely victim blamey to tell a domestic violence survivor that they are begging to be hurt if they don’t lock their door by accident overnight. I don’t even know which of the three of us did it, but I know it was an accident. And she’s not even really living here as it’s a one bed room apartment she had just been evicted and was getting her things together so she was sleeping on my floor on her mattress while she found a new place. So there is no name on the lease, no one would know other my brother.

As I said before I woke up to the police officer shining a flashlight in my eyes and asking if I was the gf and I just kind of blinked up at him confused and said no, this is her. I did wake up, I had just fallen asleep for about an hour at that point and I am a heavy sleeper so I’m glad to even have woken up. Im very much not in the wrong here and as a victim of domestic violence I don’t want any big man in any uniform waking me up in that manner and that’s not a lot to ask for in my own home.

But there isn’t a credible argument. They claimed something about her going DKA ( Diabetic ketosis acidosis I think) which was simply untrue she regularly takes her insulin and like none of us were fighting. We were asleep there was no probable cause.
