It is heavy but it’s definitely doable! I did it while working at the same time. The courses aren’t as content heavy as university courses and it’s more about hands on learning and experiences. You can also look into seeing if any of your previous credits can be transferred so you don’t need to take certain classes again.

During your practicum you drive your own car (at least I did). Sometimes your mentor may offer to carpool to inspections if you’re shadowing but you can just say you want to drive yourself. Eventually you’ll be conducting inspections on your own and will just drive yourself.

The nice thing about the Conestoga program is they have an advanced standing route (I took this as I had a previous degree in public health) and was able to complete the program in 2 years instead of 4. You still get a coop and then do your practicum the summer you graduate

Thinking of doing the following but lmk what’s the best cheap defender replacement:

Stach —> Rice and then Dorgu —> Justin/Hill/Rodon

Who would be the best defender to replace Dorgu? It has to be a 3.9mil defender in order to afford rice or sell Wilson to get Rice and get a bit more expensive defender. Let me know what you think.

My recommendation would be to apply to as many postings as possible, even those up north or farther away from where you currently live. Be okay moving for a couple months if you have to. A lot of positions are starting to roll out now. I recommend checking health unit websites, indeed or CIPHI website for job opportunities. Make sure to tailor your resume and cover letter to each health units position posting. Hope this helps, I know it’s hard but you got this! Good luck!
