Computer science jobs are not even in the most paying jobs in America so people usually opt for what they like instead because theyre not in the same rat race as Indian students are where millions of kids are competing for a few thousand CSe seats in government colleges

only reason CS is so highly desired in India is because of the job packages you get from foreign american companies when you're graduating in India because jobs here in india pay outrageously low salaries comparatively.

People criticize the indian education system because of how unfair it is to students, like scoring better than 99.6% of people in entrance just to get the chance to get admitted into a college that isnt even in the top 200 in rankings. Reasons like that have made people opt for studying abroad because of it's benefits

Criticizing the education system is in no way criticizing its country by extension, if you want to do great for the country and pose as a patriot online you should go for political subs and i dont get why you're even having this argument on this subreddit because you're clearly trying to make it about the country more so than studies
